Imagine another user sent a message I tried reading it and there was a pop up for me to buy a subscription to read the message I then paid for the subscription and returned to the massage I wanted to open, and was redirected to pay for a more expensive subscription the app is so misleading like it was done on purpose for you to keep paying imagine after subscription of £6 a week I still can’t event have an ordinary unlimited like am lucky I didn’t pay for a month subscription

Firstly, I understand that people need to earn a living and I don’t expect anything for free. However the extent Hily cripples the app for free members makes it unusable. 

- I’ve received a message from someone which I appear to be unable to open unless I pay. 

- I have yet to come across any of the people who have alresdy matched with me. Hundreds of right swipes and not one of them have been with someone who’d already liked me.

- “popular” profiles that you can’t match with unless you’re a paying member. Do these people have a say in being restricted like this?

-full page unskippable ads whilst scrolling through profiles. 

There’s an okay concept for an app here but it is entirely ruined by the developers trying to force you in to buying their ridiculously priced premium subscriptions, which in the end has meant I will never spend a penny with them. Incredibly short sighted and it leads to a ruined app unfortunately.

A user sent me a message. I tried to read the message. But hilly redirected me to buy a subscription in order to read the message. I buy the subscription that hilly redirected me to. I go back to try and read the message after buying  but no it redirects me again to a more expensive subscription. The app is very misleading they get you to buy useless subscription that don’t do what u need it do just so that you end up buying more. I contacted support but they was just as useless asking me to send them a screenshot or a screen recording of what happened which is impossible because it’s already done like I can’t go back in time and send a screenshot of the first time the app redirected me to buy the subscription because now it’s redirecting me to buy a different one.

Please go out and meet people in real life. You can skip the headache of having to pay just to see or chat to people virtually.

You might get rejected a few times, but if anything that builds character and you can wear those like battle wounds. The right one for you will be happy to have met you.

I payed £9.99 hoping to get rid of the blurred images and actually connect and message someone, only to be prompted to pay £30 just to do just that 😂

I paid a tenner and a till can’t speak to anyone or see who even liked me. How is this app available on the App Store?! Smh

Exploiting people looking for love/fun,  charging exuberant amount of money in order to use the very basic of functionalities you’d expect from a dating app.

The removal of the live function is still a major downside, pretty much the only reason I sometimes return to hilly.
The paywall for certain features mentioned, by previous reviewers is a problem.
The interface has improved since the update but their still improvements needed.
The daily wheel no longer works for myself and others, personally the daily wheel should appear twice a day.
Maybe the limit of likes need to be increased.

Overall I believe these problems like the live feature, daily wheel, interface, and the like limit. Can be implemented or fixed. The paywall I’m not to sure about.
Frankly the live feature was one of the best features on the app, and it being removed was a major bummer.

I miss the wheel from a couple of updates back, you could have a daily spin, well every week or so as it would often say you already had a spin today, I’m not expecting to meet anyone off a dating app, we just exchange a few words, real life dating is so 2010’s anyway.  Thanks for the improvements, less free features, not sure if bumble bought you out as every other add seems to be for that app.
