### *---- "Made some great friends but banned for no reason."
I adored hinge. I met some potential dates and 2 of them are now very good friends and felt we were more suited as friends. 

I was wrongfully banned on Tinder and Hinge at the EXACT same time while I was asleep.  I woke up to 2 emails at 7:37am saying I was permanently banned on hinge while the other said Tinder. 

I thought this HAS to be a scam or maybe I was hacked? Nope, I was banned. Tinder only let me appeal for it to get denied. They won’t even tell me the reason I am banned? 

I am a genuine verified person. I use Facebook to login which also has my friends and family since 2005. I use the same email and mobile number too. I would take accountability if I did something to be banned but Tinder ignored all my emails and never respond with an explanation, just denying my ban. 

Hinge at least said “automated tools detected” so I asked what this means? I don’t have my iPhone hacked at all. I don’t use any automated tools at all. 

I was also very polite in ny emails to Tinder and Hinge. 

I also learnt Hinge and Tinder share the same parent company and many are getting banned for no reason. Banned for life. You can use your mobile, your device, your Facebook or email. 

And all because perhaps my Facebook profile said it has changed some permissions towards my apps possibly with the latest iOS update. 

This is discrimination and bigotry bias and really unfair when you have a genuine guy who uses the apps as intended to date. Most of my friends and family think I should take legal action regarding this. It’s tempting but I rather not ever support Tinder/Hinge.

It began with questionable matches: the app numerous times told me the most compatible man for me fell well under my age limit, allowed someone who was well above my upper age limit to spend his only rose on me, and that based on their answers (which were functionally mute in single word form) we had “the most in common and should meet”

Okay, none of that was great but the real deal breaker: reporting the one decent match I found on there once he tried to sell me blockchain and I discovered his photos were catfished from a man in the Middle East and ripped straight from Instagram… and never getting a single shred of support from anyone at Hinge. Not even acknowledgement or any reassurance they will check if this person is still trying to use the app. It’s been 10 days and I can only conclude nobody at Hinge cares a damn what their users experience.

I can’t log back into my hinge account. I tried logging in from Apple ID, Gmail account and my phone number, apparently it says that nothing is connected to the hinge account. Can you please look into it ?

I downloaded the app and didn’t even have the app for a full day before I was removed. I went through the terms and conditions and was confident I had not violated any of these. I appealed but as I was given no information as to why I was banned was unable to add supporting information. I asked the team to review but it seems like no one actually did go through my account and review what my activity was like and that I got an auto email informing me of my ban. I have never tried dating  apps before so this was a pretty bad experience for my first time. The hinge experience could be elevated if they actually took the time to check the account prior to banning.

I now understand why people say that Hinge is not a swipe left/ swipe right model. It does not encourage simply browsing a hundreds of people but seems to promote active engagement. Little frustrating not to be able to go back and see someone’s profile after you have commenced chat. However I am guessing that pushes people to engage. Interesting so far.

I had issues with my account getting banned permanently after my Abusive ex (friend) reported me on Hinge as a way to try to isolate me further. 
I have bruises from this person still on my body. This person physically abused me.
I advised Hinge of the abuse from this person and they did not help or even attempt to understand what was going on and banned me with no proof of what had occurred. 

Hinge: if you could respond back to me, i’m happy to provide proof of the bruises from this person :) just give me my damn account back.

I wanted to share my love for cooking on this app, I put a picture of some of my culinary expertise along with clear photos of myself, I was then subsequently banned the day after paying for a subscription. I tried to appeal and was advised that my appeal was denied because I breached terms of service. I then made a request for my money back from the subscription as I was never provided what I paid for and was denied. This app is a scam and this was actual theft, clearly someone in Hinges customer service team was mad my food looks better than what they can make!

Apparently my mobile phone was used without my consent when I was underage so it was flagged (rightfully so), however after appealing it so i could prove I am now over 18 the customer service didn’t reply to me so I tried my friends mobile and my email and I was banned again. I tried a new mobile and email and was still banned. I’m 100% over the age of 18 and have submitted appeals to no avail. Customer service didn’t reply at all and i’m unable to use the app. It doesn’t even tell me what specifically was flagged so i’m not even sure how they know since I used brand new details. I can’t use the app at all because i’m not able to prove i’m almost 20 years old. Fix the customer service.

Do not sign up to Hinge! My first experience with a dating app: I joined and paid $139 for 3 month subscription. Was only on it for three hours and had my account removed!! I hadn’t had a chance to interact with anyone and hadn’t violated any terms and conditions. Unbelievable. They’ve taken my money and blocked me. I wouldn’t even give them one star! Just awful.

I dont know how you’re experience has been with Hinge, but It has been awful with me. This app used to be something or so I had heard, I have deleted it permanently now. I kept the app for more than 2 years thinking someday a REAL match will happen but NOTHING, complete SILENCE. In these 2 years I have had only total of 5 matches of which 2 were BOTS, 2 were scams and last one made me delete it permanently. Being matched with someone after 1 YEAR, my account gets banned for “harassment”? I didnt even get to talk to them! This app has made me mentally ill, giving my issues about myself, my personality, my self-esteem! These apps were supposed to help people but it has done the complete opposite! Please STOP using these apps they only let its male audience suffer, all audiences as I have heard only to use our desperation and loneliness to make profit, making us stay attached with them with no results whatsoever only to gain profits in any means possible. I have been where everyone has been, these apps/companies only use us now and dont care if something happens to you, PLEASE STOP USING THEM atleast for your own sake
