In de digitale wereld zijn singles vaak zo druk bezig met matches verzamelen dat ze niet echt contact maken. Toch ontstaan echte relaties pas offline! Hinge is op een missie om hier iets mee te doen. Dus maakten we een app die is ontworpen om te worden verwijderd.
* We leren snel wat jouw type is. Je wordt alleen voorgesteld aan de mensen van jouw wensen.
* Je krijgt via onze app een goed idee van iemands persoonlijkheid, afgezien van hoe ze eruitzien. Je leert potentiële dates kennen door hun unieke antwoorden op vragen en persoonlijke opvattingen over onderwerpen als religie, de toekomst en politiek.
* We maken het je extra makkelijk om een gesprek te beginnen. Elke match begint met een like of reactie op een bepaald deel van iemands profiel.
* We checken graag even bij je hoe je dates zijn gegaan. Na het uitwisselen van telefoonnummers met een match, vragen we je naar je ervaring zodat we nog betere aanbevelingen kunnen geven.
Onze app is gratis. Leden die willen zien wie hen leuk vindt of geavanceerde voorkeuren willen instellen, kunnen upgraden naar een Premiumabonnement.

I had high hopes for Hinge as a platform for meaningful connections, but my experience has been deeply disappointing. The app fosters an environment where accounts can be removed without proper investigation, relying solely on user reports. There is no prior notification of alleged violations or an opportunity to address them. This lack of transparency and due process feels arbitrary and unjust.

Moreover, the system appears to enable racial discrimination, allowing individuals to report and effectively remove others for reasons that may stem from bias rather than actual violations of the Terms of Service. This creates a hostile experience, particularly for marginalized groups.

What makes this worse is that Hinge provides no clear explanation for its actions and no meaningful appeal process. The appeal option seems like an afterthought, with no guarantee of a fair review. Such practices are not only frustrating but also raise serious ethical and legal concerns, especially in regions with strong consumer protection and anti-discrimination laws.

While the app’s premise is commendable, its execution fails to ensure fairness or accountability. I cannot recommend Hinge unless it takes immediate steps to:
- Improve transparency by notifying users of specific violations and asking for explanation before the entire action is taken down.
- Implement robust, unbiased investigations before banning accounts.
- Establish a fair and accessible appeal process.

Until these changes are made, I cannot in good conscience continue to use or support this platform.
