* We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future.
The app is free to use. Members looking to see everyone who likes them or send unlimited likes can upgrade to Hinge+. To access additional features, including enhanced recommendations and priority likes, we offer HingeX.

Just money grabbers. Can’t even have an interaction without being bombarded with options they sell

Hinge thinks it’s “diverse” and “inclusive” to show trans men profiles to you despite what your initial preference was saved as, cause you know we are all lusting over these individuals and fancy seeing them every now and then.

Monetising people’s desperation
Like the title says. These dating apps know that people are lonely and want companionship, so they offer to help you to find that and then charge you just to see who the other person is. Either app developers don’t know how constrained some people are financially or they only think that the upper middle class should be able to find love. Not to mention that the app doesn’t allow account registration with an email address. It insists on using phone numbers. What guarantees do I have that my phone number won’t be leaked in a data breach? I really hope online dating stops being a thing really soon!
