## hip: Birthday Reminder App Reviews in United States

### *---- "Too many ads"
Used to be great but now it’s so hard to just see the birthday list. Way too many ads and so long .
-- G-!, 2026-09-13

### *---- "Doesn’t transfer"
I purchased a subscription. I got a new phone. There is no way to sign in to my account to keep my purchase
-- Baptistpreacherph, 2026-08-12

### ***-- "Too many advertisements"
used to be short advertisements but now are too many and long and can’t even skip them..
-- Lolette 😇, 2026-08-09

### ***** "I am 💯 satisfied"
This is the gift that keeps on giving it is always giving me exactly what I need and is super customizable so you can have exactly what you want. Never miss anything again.
-- Laura in Kona, 2026-08-03

### **--- "Ads and more ads"
Too many ads with the free version.
-- nitzy7, 2026-08-03

### *---- "Used to love, but now it reminds me to “Stay Connected” to people that are not in my birthday list"
The recently added “Stay Connected” feature is super annoying. It pulls from people in my address book, NOT people in my birthday list. I really don’t want to Be reminded to Stay connected with my friend’s ex-boyfriend or that person with whom I no longer speak. And there isn’t a way to disable this feature.
-- tidbiter, 2026-07-29

### ***** "A great reminder"
I have been using this app for years and it has not disappoint me. It reminds me of all my friends and loved ones birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I like that it keeps all their pictures beside their names. I like that it gives you suggestions of what to say and able to add words to it. Nice card selections to send. You have the choice to select who the person’s is to you such as brother, sister, mother etc, if relation not named you can customize it. I’ve had this very birthday app for years. A touching part of this app is the “ Memorialize Contact” where Hip indicates love ones who passed way & will remove celebratory marks and have silent reminders about their events. Thank you Hip for that. I never had to change to another birthday app bc this one keeps updating with the new and improved.
-- ewimes, 2026-07-16

### **--- "basically nothing without paying"
it lt me pick some b days from contacts which was nice, but then wouldn’t let me add any more because i reached my free limit ( i was at about 5 or 4 contacts) then it was making me pay a subscription to add any more which was about $20 a month.
-- ilsa burrow, 2026-07-13

### *---- "Not worth it"
Only lets you add 5 birthdays before wanting to charge you. Not a good deal in my opinion. No lifetime price either. I’m not looking for more subscriptions.
-- mommiller3, 2026-07-10

### ***** "Bariden Estorge"
Estorge
-- bees06, 2026-07-07

### *---- "Money Grab"
This app sucks…all they want is your money and they bombard you with useless ads.
-- Buzzy334, 2026-07-02

### ***** "Love this app❣️❣️"
It’s a great app, I have a very large family & lots of friends I care about. Would never be able to keep up without it❣️❣️❣️
-- The Bday card lady, 2026-06-29

### ***** "Thanks"
Been helping me remember birthdays for years! Simple and easy to use.
-- Dawn Bourke, 2026-06-07

### *---- "Declining quality"
I’ve had this app for several years and it keeps getting worse. Mandatory ads that are sometimes impossible to close will pop up before you can access any information. Trying to scroll through your birthday listings can mean having to watch an ad. The intrusion of ads has ruined this app. Now looking for replacement for this app.
-- Linus 3000, 2026-05-30

### *---- "An app that was once great, is now full of ads the moment you open it."
Dear hip developers, you NEED to tone down the ads, the moment I open up the app EVERYTIME is a 30 second ad and even when you finish it, I move a little bit throughout the app and BOOM, ANOTHER AD. I’m about to move everything I built in this app to another app. Either change or I’m leaving. A 5 out of 5 star app is now a 1 out of 5 star app. Change how aggressive ads are or bye bye.
-- nikolai987, 2026-05-04

### ***** "Easy Peasy"
Great app. Easy to use and set up.
-- Scripture and Steak, 2026-04-24

### ***-- "Too many ads"
Update- issue has been fixed. It’s usable now

I’ve had this app for years with no problems. But now it’s unbearable. I understand the need to include ads but now I can’t even access my list. I just sat through SIX ads and it still won’t let me see what’s coming up without another ad popping up.
-- Cookie Paradise, 2026-04-15

### ***** "Blessed"
Thanks for the great app!
-- Duck 1:(1), 2026-04-03

### *---- "They limited the app"
I was really looking forward to enjoying this app but the free version is limited to 5 birthdays which is ridiculous. Then it’s hidden behind a subscription.
-- SuckMyAhh, 2026-03-20

### ****- "Owner"
Used to be more simple to use app. Wish I could use my own photos sometimes.
