I love this app and just resubscribed but it’s not allowing me to change my profile photo. It keeps crashing over and over again. Please fix this. I’ll change my rating to 5 stars once fixed. Thank you!! ❤️🙏 -- SJaeckle, 2026-05-25 ### *---- "What in the dumpster fire" Happened to this app? This update is TRASH. The camera bag is absolutely useless, you can’t find anything without having to scroll a ridiculous amount, and even then you’re lucky if you find what you’re looking for. I’ve been using this app since the original, and these are some of the worst updates. These aren’t improvements. -- Screwthisnicknamecrap, 2026-04-10 ### *---- "FORCED TO SUBSCRIBE" I had the previous Hipstamatic, Classic account before they went to subscription based service. When they went to subscription based service, I lost all my purchases, all the money invest invested into all the film, flashes, packs, all gone. Contacted and reached out to Hipstamatic by email 300 times, did not hear one response back. Subscription based is the future, picking your pocket monthly. I’m not hating on it, you just gotta flow with what it is. -- A_lwr, 2026-04-04 ### ***** "A Creative and Vibrant App and Community" This app has been so much fun to use and the community that participates within the app is creative vibrant and beautiful. That app now truly represents the community. The recent updates have brought out the best the app has to offer and has streamlined the vast features offered. While the joys and struggles within the previous versions everyone should enjoy the latest developments and features Peace -Freddie -- -Freddie, 2026-03-30 ### ***** "This is the best photo app I’ve ever used" This is without a doubt the best photo app I’ve used, ever. -- VFXguy54, 2026-03-26 ### ***** "Best game ever" It’s perfect for taking pictures probably better than the regular camera it works so great probably one of the best apps -- Love the way they thought, 2026-03-24 ### **--- "I’m done" Sorry people, but the redesign made an already buggy and clumsy app worse. Scrolling through community photos, it suddenly glitched back to the top of the feed, losing my place. The new editor adds steps to editing. And the camera itself, which needs the most attention, still stinks. I was on the fence with canceling my subscription, but now I have no doubt. Will miss it, some of it. -- WJS_11, 2026-03-23 ### **--- "Nothing more frustrating than the app crashing when editing with darkroom" This update is faulty, feel like I don't want to return to it to edit a photo. -- Diegonlr, 2026-03-15 ### *---- "🤑" I was a huge fan of Hipstamatic since day one. I supported their efforts with buying most of the lenses and films throughout the last 15 years, even some of the ones that appeared redundant and some that turned out as lame as I thought they might. It was too much really, and became a convoluted mess to sort through with too many options. I will never pay a subscription fee for a camera app on my phone, so this version gets an automatic delete. No more subscriptions, for anything. -- medicated, 2026-03-14 ### *---- "Bait and switch." App says it’s free and then after giving it the permissions it needs to be used it then informs you that you have to pay a subscription to use the app. They’ll give you a 24hr pass and then after that they expect you to pay. More and more apps are starting to do this and it’s getting really old. Just like every other app that does this I immediately deleted it and will never use it again. -- feverghoul, 2026-03-11 ### *---- "I’m done with Hipstamatic" I have been using Hipstamatic for years. When I changed to my most recent phone I somehow lost a lot of my film and lenses I have purchased over the years. Basically when I go to download it asks me to pay… again. I have contacted them multiple times about this. I have done what they asked and nothing happened. I am tired of trying to get their attention so it is time I move on. But it sucks because I really loved using it. If I could give zero stars I would. Highly disappointed in you and your lack of proper help. -- miklpen, 2026-03-08 ### *---- "Shame, I liked it here" I’ve been using this app since the beginning and enjoyed it, bought lenses and film, and told many people about how great it was. Took a break and come back to a message of now I need to pay a subscription. I understand to need for money to operate. But this feels cheap and dirty. I’ll miss it. Thanks for the memories while they lasted. -- Grizz L. Bees, 2026-01-12 ### *---- "Not a good app" I bought this app when it first came out it had a ability to add filters to your photos beautiful filters then they took it away. Wasted money -- sheribear860, 2025-12-17 ### *---- "Wont work on my iphone11" Lens does not open in app to take photos. Permissions for lens use is on. Same issue with Classic Hipstamatic app. -- AnEpicNguyen, 2025-11-28 ### *---- "Lame" I’ve been using this app for five years, and out of nowhere they switched everything to a membership. Now all the packs I already downloaded and spent a ton of money on are basically gone unless I pay $29 a year for things I already purchased. The new interface is awful, and editing my photos is way harder than it used to be. Honestly, this is such an epic fail and I’m really frustrated. -- charxillla, 2025-11-21 ### ***** "Single best camera app" This is the app to get if you want that analog camera in your pocket feel. the vintage vibes are there and the camera app always keeps you coming back for more with different films, flashes, lenses and more. I’ve come back to this app time and again over the years. Great stuff! All the other apps I’ve either forgotten or deleted because they didn’t make the cut. I think this is probably the 15th year I’ve been using this app. -- strait150, 2025-11-09 ### ***** "Favorite camera app of all time… not even an exaggeration" … yeah. Haven’t had a single issue with this app actually and I stumbled upon it 3 years ago… game changer. Taking photos suddenly became a completely different experience. -- Inapplicable>, 2025-10-16 ### ***** "Lo malo" Debería ser gratis, esta muy bien para amateurs o los que quieran experimentar con los ángulos y los lentes -- iGioser, 2025-10-10 ### *---- "Such a cluster" I have used this app for something like 15 years now. It has not gotten any better since the first iteration. It actually used to be better when it was more simple. They had a great business model: you could spend a dollar or two and get a new look and they always had some great Marketing around it. It totally worked on me. What doesn’t work for me anymore is this idea that I’ve got to subscribe to get the basic stuff. I’m about to delete this app and I will never download it again and never think about it again. -- JAGDan, 2025-10-03 ### *---- "Not happy" I do not like the way they do business. -- Sine Nomine patria, 2025-09-15 [View all Hipstamatic® Analog Camera reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Hipstamatic® Analog Camera In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Hipstamatic Camera Club | $19.99 | | Hipstamatic Makers Club | $7.99 | ## Hipstamatic® Analog Camera Discovered Keywords -
