HISTORY Vault

I loved watching Deep Sea Detectives when it was on the air but haven’t seen it in ages. It’s just not available. Amazon Prime had a few episodes from season 1 but that was all. History Vault has all 4 seasons! Woohoo!! Time to binge watch my favorite show!

I can’t watch the shows, because my app keeps crashing

If this app is maintained by anyone other than a retired hobbyist software developer in their spare time, I would be completely shocked. It’s surprising a channel with great entertainment could have an app so bad. The shortcomings of the experience here are significant, but to name a few: 1. The app frequently requires you to force close and re-open in order to clear a freeze. It will then lose your place in whatever you are watching. 2. It often starts new episodes at a random, usually halfway starting point. 3. It doesn’t bother to show you the season or episode numbers when you’ve downloaded shows, leaving it to your best guess on which is the next show in a season. 4. Switching to a separate app doesn’t automatically make a playing video switch to Picture in Picture like every competing streaming service application. Instead, it stops the video entirely. Two stars as the app is able to play videos and offers good content.

Why even allow people to download content if they can’t access it when offline? Incredibly frustrating

Missing Gangland Built America for just an example. he shows are currently on the history channel, but you cannot find them in this app. You have to get them through a service which I don’t think is right considering you’re paying for a “HISTORY Vault.” if you’re a cord cutter and you want the full value of the history channel this app is not for you. pretty disappointed. There is a lot of good content on here, but not some of the most current.

So, the add I got for this app said that I would be able to watch a ton of documents for free, I download the app, and I’m instantly met with a subscription service. Man :(

Love this app and it’s a definitely must have. There’s so much to watch. The array of content is endless and nostalgic. Use to watch shows like Civil War Journal before school and it brings back memories. Like that they’re still updating content and coming out with mega series on important figures in history. Price is reasonable and I highly recommend this app. More informative than other useless apps out there.

I’m sick of paying for a service that doesn’t have all the shows history channel has.

This is an absolute first. I am a history buff. So I downloaded the history vault to learn more than I do. After downloading the app, I am then prompted to pay either $59.99 for a year or $5.99 a month. I can’t afford either as I am on a limited budget. When this was on cable tv, there was no extra charge for it. This seems to be a big gimmick to make money. I am deleting the app, and letting others know so they don’t get caught up in it. Hogwash

I don’t know what changed, however, I signed up with history vault through their website and was able to log in on my iPhone and watch videos. Now all of a sudden I continue to get error messages when trying to log in on the app. “Oops, something went wrong” technical difficulties is all I get then I close the app and open it back up to a payment screen. My subscription is paid for annually not monthly so why would I have to pay to watch on my iPhone?
