HNB Digital Banking

I tried to change my email address. Take forever! Nobody answered the phone. App is pretty useless.

The are multiple problems. Very short time out time. You get 30 seconds to hit otp from email if you live overseas. But after complaining HNB offered to send the OTP to overseas phone. Again trouble when you are back in SL. Creating details of the transferee is virtually impossible unless you are a tech expert. You have to select bank ac, account name, phone number, email address within 60 seconds ? , before the the time out. For me it takes at least 5 attempts before typing this info. It does not allow copy and past. Apple face id is not supported. All these short comings I mentioned never exist in Australian bank apps. SL has a long way to go technology wise. But on the other hand the sum of money transferred through this app is reasonably good.

Tried logging in from overseas and the app appears to be so darn slow. Moreover, the app keeps spitting out “something appears to be wrong. Try again later.” even when I somehow managed to get in and do stuff. So frustrating. By far the worst user experience I have had from a banking app. Things used to be good, however, until I ran into the above.

Every time I log in to this app from overseas app freezes during login and if logged in however app doesn’t show my details right away. I’m unsure who QA’ed this app before the release.
