ZERO TYPING, STRAIGHT TO THE ANSWER - Tap the location button: the app finds the nearest reporting aerodrome, pulls the current METAR and SNOWTAM, and decodes them instantly. - The decoded weather is applied directly to the FAA tables — the correct holdover cell is highlighted for your fluid, concentration, OAT and precipitation. - No signal at the gate? The complete FAA HOT tables (Type I/II/III/IV, winter 2026-27) are bundled in the app and work fully offline. A HOLDOVER TIMER THAT FOLLOWS YOU - Start the timer when fluid is applied. Lock your phone — the countdown lives on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. - Colour-coded timeline from protection active to degrading to expired, with time-sensitive alerts and haptics at each threshold — even in your pocket. - A Home Screen widget confirms the bundled FAA edition is still the current season. TRUST, THEN VERIFY - Every value can be checked against the original FAA page in one tap, with pinch-to-zoom for the fine print. - Adjusted HOT (early flaps/slats, 76%), ice-pellet allowances, one-step/two-step guidance and day/night handling built in. NOTAM LIVE - Enter any ICAO worldwide and get the NOTAMs decoded and grouped: runway/taxiway, ILS/approach, navaids, lighting, airspace, obstacles, warnings. - Closed runways and unserviceable aids highlighted; validity at a glance; raw text always available. - Searchable ICAO abbreviations dictionary — type "rwy" and see every runway-related code explained. HoldoverLive requires an annual subscription (USD 4.99/year, local price shown at purchase). It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage it in your Apple Account settings. HoldoverLive is an advisory planning aid, not an official source of aeronautical information. Always verify holdover values and NOTAMs against your official FAA / AIS briefing. When in doubt, de-ice again.
