Seems pretty good and is more fully feature than Apple’s official app, however, for some reason my HomePods don’t show up as devices in any of my rooms. Am I missing something?

…lack of decent icon options holds it back. Please add more icons for devices and scenes. 

Also, when using a widget it doesn’t use the icons you’ve set for the scenes and just uses generic house icon which is confusing when you have a few scenes with similar names.

### ***** "Absolute Life Saver"
After Home, randomly one day, decided to no longer show any scenes and would not allow me to re-create them either, I turned to Home + 6 to try and figure out what was going on. Home+ 6 actually showed me that the scenes were still there and for some reason Home was choosing not to show them (and no it wasn’t a ‘Favourites’ thing, they just don’t appear anywhere in Home). Importantly it allowed me to manage this logically and backup and restore settings. I would heartily recommend this app

I hadn’t realised just how good this app is!!!! Have now added single-click actions to boost heating in one area, and open/ close garage door. All from the widgets and Apple Watch. So happy, thank you.

Since the last update the app has become terribly slow.

In comparison, the native Home app and the Hive app control devices almost instantly but in Home+ 6 you are left for ages looking at ‘Updating’ status of devices.

It is marginally better on local Wi-Fi, but remote isn’t good at all.

Any plans to look into and fix this?

I have Aqara TRV’s controlling my radiators and Home+ needs to be updated to work with these. Currently the app can’t recognise when the radiators are at target temperature to turn my main thermostat on and off (the reason I paid £12.99 for this App 😐)

Please update and I will review at 5* !!

I literally bought this a couple of weeks ago to use the (old style) widgets. Now they have been replaced by new widget that don’t offer any functionality that you couldn’t get with shortcuts but a far less space efficient.

### ****- "Good app but could do with some improvements/tweaks"
Really good home automation app but scene organisation could do with some hopefully easy work. 

Either folders for scenes, or room/zone based grouping for scenes or a list view so we can swipe through quickly and use the alphabet picker on the right side like most apps. Any of these or even all as an option we can toggle would greatly improve the experience for users with 100s of scenes. 

Also it’s nice that you don’t have to create scenes to control automations but then a scene is auto generated with a code string name that users may not recognise so maybe a pop up warning if you create an automation and choose accessory controls instead of a scene so that it tells you one will be automatically created for you.

Paid for it and downloaded app. Open app and it asks to name the home. All I get is “error no object found”. Can’t use the app or proceed. Expect me to be refunded from apple worst app I’ve ever come across!

Really disappointed. I have a lot of automations and scenes that include playing music and was looking forward to tinkering with these more. I was particularly looking forward to finally being able to sort all my automations into folders. Paid for and downloaded the app only to find that it does not support Apple TV or any of my airplay devices so practically no benefit in me having this app over the normal Home app. Why was this not clear from the off?! Surely if you don’t support some major HomeKit devices (one of which is even a hub) you should say up front?

### ***-- "Helpful But Duplication Feature Is Limited"
I downloaded the app after realising that I’d have to duplicate the default Hue scene’s in order to apply them to separate rooms.

But unfortunately when you duplicate a scene, the original scene’s settings aren’t applied to the accessories that you add to the copy of the scene.

That means that you have to recreate the scene for every accessory that you add to the copy of the scene. Which is made much harder by the fact that you have to find the right colour & colour hue on a wheel, rather than being able to type those values in.

Still, at least the app gives you visibility of what those values are so made this process easier vs using the Home or Hue apps.

Amazing effort from the developer!
I would stop using Apple Homekit if:
Homepods would appear.
Automations names would always sync with HomeKit
The summary “Home” displays a summary, not every single device.
Scenes are not grouped all together into 1 screen.

A fantastic app that has been improved with 5.0 and iOS 14 support. It’s almost perfect, but widgets need to be updated to support iOS 14, at the moment you can only view these widgets at the bottom of the today view, you can’t use them in widgets ok the Home Screen, nor can you move them higher up the today view. Please update them for iOS 14 😊

### ***** "Wonderful - I just wish you could do automations without having to make a scene for each one"
I don’t know if this is the developers fault or a limitation with HomeKit, but I bought this app so I could do more intelligent automations that are not available in the HomeKit app.

For instance use humidity sensors to turn on extractor fans etc. This provides all the extra functionality you get from the free Eve app but with an interface more familiar with the native Home app. 

One slight annoyance is that when you create an automation, it automatically creates this as a scene for you, in the native Home app, named with some silly serial number. This means all this HomeKit stuff fails the wife test!

It would be great if the scenes created by Home+ were somehow hidden in the native home app. If this is already possible, please let me know! Otherwise this app is PERFECT!
