This app requests permissions to all sensors and gps. It does so to track your location to your home assistant session.
There’s nothing wrong with that. However, if one chooses to opt out, like me. 

Then the app goes crazy and drains 20% battery  each night. This issue has been easy to replicate for at least 2 years now. Still not fixed. 

Fix the damn 100% background activity.

So in general I really like the app. Minor fixes would make it excellent. There are some stability issues. Once in a while I have to close the app entirely, as it is not responding/crashing. Secondly, the dropdowns have never worked - e.g. when you try to setup an automation and want to choose an entity. I have never been able to select anything as it seems to just “click through” the actual dropdown. Hope my explanation makes sense?

It’s barely usable, as it won’t save the login information you enter.

And why is it that it doesn’t default to the default HA port?

Also it would complain that the password is wrong even if it’s not, but tapping “done” after getting the “password wrong” message, actually logs you in.

I’m not gonna use this, if I need to enter url, port and get password errors every time. Too buggy. Hopefully the author would fix these crucial bugs, so we could get some actual use out of HA.
