The recipes are easy, the ingredients pretty fresh, packaging super in 90degree days sitting in porch for an hour,,, the food tastes excellent, but for a small portion one week, I can’t say enough! Highly recommend to peps, particularly if you single or empty nesters,,, variety works for me,, only wish they had more seafood and higher end choices,, probably more expensive, but once a month it may be worth it,, bottom line,, taste is everything!

I am ordered six meals that were supposed to come Wednesday, it’s already the next Wednesday and I haven’t received anything. Whenever I try to reach customer support they are always closed or don’t respond to my emails. Even during their “open” hours for customer service they are still closed. The only actual support I’ve received about the package is from FedEx telling me they have to file a lost claim but how are they supposed to do that when they don’t respond. It’s honestly a sham

I was able to trial Home Chef family meals and loved it! I loved how convenient it was that you got all of the ingredients that you needed! The food was delicious! I just wish they gave you a little more food. I have a family of 4 consisting of 2 boys, my husband and I and those boys like to eat! They would have lived seconds. I had a great experience with home chef!

We just changed over from another food delivery service and it was a great move! Food better, less prep and packaging meals altogether is a plus! So happy!

Switched from Hello Fresh to Home Chef and regret it. Every box had warm food with the ice melted. They should switch the carrier! Some ingredients were spoiled. The portions are minuscule compared to Hello Fresh. The App is not user friendly and caused me to accidentally order food worth $120 for two meals for two people. Customer support was snooty. I canceled immediately and switched back to Hello Fresh, which is more professional and definitely fresh.

I’ve had this app since 2020 and never had a problem. Now when I sign on to try to skip some meals (since I’ll be traveling), it tells me that internet is required to open the app. First of all, that never used to be the case. I should be able to use (and have always used the app) with 5G. Second, I AM ON WIFI! Someone fix the app to work correctly before they send me meals when I’m not home.

Home Recipes has been absolutely life changing for us, getting us to try new foods every day and not having to worry about groceries, plus the recipe cards are very easy to follow along regardless of cooking experience! Sadly it’s not perfect, as some of the recipes given are ill-suited to our preferences and have to be edited before it’s too late. Additionally, I recently came to notice how poorly written the times on the recipe cards are. For example, saying “cook & prep time: 20-30” which to me means “cook and prep time takes 20 to 30 minutes” as opposed too “prep time is 20 minutes and cook time is 30 minutes”. I do suggest fixing that if you can to avoid any confusion with the users.

Do not buy anything from Home Chef if you're looking for decent, edible meals at the very least. I first tried the meal kits that I had to cook myself. Wasn't bad just high sodium meals so then I tried "tempo", their prepared meals. Packaging looked cheap but no problem if meals are good. After tasting a couple meals we decided tempo offers DISGUSTING food. Ingredients include high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup, all kinds of preservatives, MSG type of products - the quick fix to give "flavor" to otherwise bland food, and still inedible and the look is also very unappealing. Korean BBQ shrimp looked like something that belongs in the toilet. It was also all so salty we spat out our first bite. Both went straight to trash. My boyfriend then braved it out and tried the meatball one. He said not overly bad just extremely salty and then, he was sick all night long! NEVER AGAIN!!!
