App just crashing when selecting type of camera
Pretty disappointing so far. New install of the outdoor camera went fine. Download the app, register an account. All good. Log into app and select netatmo, then outdoor camera and crash.. App just vanishes. Rebooted phone, uninstalled app, reinstalled app, still the same problem. Please fix.. camera was detected and setup in Apple home, but your app doesnt work.
Liked the previous app but don’t like the update
There was a way for the user to chose the areas on the area (pic) which need to be monitored and the latest update removed it. The usability also is not friendly any more. I hope they fix these in the future.

Best security app
Certain parts of the iPhone app are useless!
If you need to change some advanced settings like an FTP address you can’t. The UI hides key fields at the top of the form under a heading, making them impossible to get to! I had to install the app on an iPad to get around this issue! Update - I have apparently stumbled across an easily fixable UI issue that is being looked into.
A step back
The new user interface on iPad is too cluttered, hard to use and wastes a lot of space. The camera image should be the most prominent feature, as it was in the old interface, which was fine. Update: Thank you for the explanation. It is my impression that the new app layout has been designed for iPhone, with the iPad App being an afterthought. The two column layout is confusing and does not make good use of the available space.
Love the cameras, the app and the alerts!
The detection and description detail and options for alerts are amazing! It’s quick to give me all the alerts I want on each of our specific camera locations. Our front door I chose to get alerts for people and in other locations I have any and all motion alerts set up in evening so I can feed a stray cat that came with our house when we moved in. Unfortunately I have not been able to catch it to make it an indoor cat, but at least I can feed the scared and hungry poor thing. That cat knows has figured out that sitting outside the back side yard camera will alert us to feed him, without attracting any wild animals. As soon as the cat is done eating and has left I get notified by the camera app so I can immediately pick up the plate. We were thankfully able to install these over 5 years ago where we use to have outdoor lights. I love this app and the cameras, excellent alert notifications!!! I wish it was more popular, because it should be!!
Missing basic intuitive functions
I have multiple cams. Yet I cannot filter activity by camera or activity zone. What?
UI update is terrible!
the interface has become terribly inconvenient and uninformative, return it to how it was before February 06, 2024
