HomeBudget is an integrated expense tracker designed to help you track your expenses, income, bills-due and account balances. It offers support for budgeting, and allows analysis of your expenses and income, including charts and graphs. Two key differentiating features of HomeBudget are:

1. Integrated set of features. The features within HomeBudget are well integrated such that a bill can become an expense (when you pay for it) and also adjust the account balance at the same time.

2. Family sync. HomeBudget includes Family Sync, an advanced feature that allows a group of devices within the household to exchange expense and income information, and work together within a single budget. Once setup, the devices sync with each other automatically over the air. Family Sync works across all features including Bills and Accounts. Please refer to the Family Sync Quick Start guide at http://www.anishu.com for information on configuring Family Sync.

Expenses:
- Create/Edit/Delete expenses and recurring expenses
- Browse expense entries by month, by category/date with the ability to drill-down
- Optionally associate an account and payee with an expense
- Attach photo images of receipts; drag and resize images on screen

Income:
- Create/Edit/Delete income and recurring income

Bills

- Support for Accounts such as Checking, Savings, Credit, Debit, Cash, etc.

- Ability to choose a different base currency for each account

Reports
- Trend chart for Expense, Budget and Income for the last 6 months
- Pie/Bar charts for expense break-down (Available in the Expenses screen).
- Export data/reports by email or via WiFi

Family Sync
- Automatically sync multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, iTouch) in the household and see the same numbers on all devices over 3G and WiFi
- Work within the same budget with other members of the household

- Backup/Restore complete application data, including all receipts
- Ability to upload your own list of category icons
- Large numeric keypad for expense/income amount entry

Best app i ever bought ! Plus one time expense

This is the best app i ever bought ! Plus one time expense. I have been using this for 3 years now. The sync version. I had another finance app before. No insight. Seeing transactions - for seconds - from others. Quit with that app and found this app. Very good insight. I make a budget plan per month. Just keep your costs up to date (costs future expenses). No dumb fidling every day.

Nice app but upp for improvements

HomeBudget is a nice app for keeping track of you finances. It gives good overview and insight in what you spend. It is however up for some improvement: 1. It is not easy to add an expense. You now need to go from the 'Dashboard' to 'Expenses' and click the '+' sign. It would be far more user friendly if an 'Add expense' is available throughout most or all of the app's screens. 2. In the same way, it takes to many steps to see all your expenses within a budget. Now, when clicking on a budget, you get options to change the budget. You would have to click on 'Budget History' to see it's transactions. It would be better if you would see the transactions first, and when you want to change the budget, you would have to click a button. 3. The available amount is showing exactly the 'Budget' minus the 'Expenses'. It would be nice if there is an option for the 'Bills' to be taken into account, as you already now you are going to spend that money. Overall the app works nice and looks good. If the above improvements are there, the app gets 5 stars from me!

Good application if worked correctly

I would give more stars if the functionality that is advertised worked for custom month periods. You can change your month start date to be different than 1st day of the month, but most features still calculate values based on 1st to last day of the calendar. Developer support is poor.

Wasted money

Really enjoyed the app for a while, but then one day it just stopped working, all data gone. First thing to do when you get this app: record the money you wasted on it...

Super app for family administration!

My wife and myself, we use HomeBudget sync for 1,5 year on all our Apple devices and we really like it. As an busy expat family with a lot of travel expenses in different currencies we are able to keep track and keep an overview on all our accounts, assets, income and spendings. By registering expenses immediately when spent we have in a very easy way full control on all our money flows. The app is very simple to use. The minor questions we had related to the functionality of the application, which we couldn't find directly in the provided supporting material, were answered within 24 hours. Great and reliable application, not expensive and worthwhile the money!

Great app

The app crashed but the fix was there within one day. Gives me more comfort on the great support of this app. In the latest version is a small bug in the landscape mode on the iPad where it doesn't show the budget numbers in first instance. All in all, this app provides everything you need for your personal financial administration. I'd advise it for everybody. It's an English app but all the labels can be customized and presented in your own language.
