Temperature

MarcinVeB on

Hi. This apps works great. The only think to improve in my opinion is temperature shown in the app. In my rooms I have TRVs, temp sensor in cameras and temps sensor in Philips hue sensor. App is just detecting Hue sensor. Would be great to have a possibility to choose which sensors temp I want to see. Thanks!

Superb App - works so well

HomeCam displays the live feed from all of 6 my cameras really quickly. Even better a single purchase gives me HomeCam on all of my devices including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. There are plenty of options to control the layout including number of columns, video border and whether to display camera name. By default it shows all of my cameras but tapping one makes it full screen and then the outdoor temperature and humidity are displayed too (if available via a suitable HomeKit device in that location). Audio works well and can be turned in and off for individual cameras or multiple camera audio can be played simultaneously. I use Netatmo outdoor and indoor cameras and it works great with them.

Garbage

Absolutely useless. Even the “settings” part doesn’t work reliably. Camera feeds cut out all the time. You have to re-start the app every 20 minutes if you’re lucky. Utter utter garbage.

great app

i like the app specially that you can areange cameras on top or the side. i found on ipad it doesnt stay on, the ipad is closing, snd it wouod be nice to slide from the side of the cameras and get the buttons and be abke to set what buttons i have in homekit to put there.

Excellent app - works perfectly

Blade Runner 2038 on

This is great! Why doesn’t the Home App do this? I always assumed there must be processing or bandwidth limitations but I can view all of my 5 cameras simultaneously. In the home view I can even mix the audio from any combination of cameras by toggling the audio on/off for each one. Tap a camera to see full screen view. Works great on my iPhone 13 Pro, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and even my Apple TV. It works on my Watch Series 7 too but the image is squashed vertically and only fills the top half of the screen for some reason. I have reported this to the developer.

This latest update ver 2.3.5 is a joke!

iLaw-One on

App worked well before and I understand updating it so it continue to meet expectations, but after updating to the latest version 2.3.5, the app crashes instantly on opening.. yet the release notes says it’s updated for recent iOS versions! How can this be? Why was extensive beta testing not carried out prior to releasing this? Now I have to go back to using apples default app to see my cameras… Please fix this ASAP.

Crashing

tw70uk on

Crashes the moment it's opened. Great new release!

It’s not working after iOS 15.6!

Frank Aw. on

Not working on iOS, iPad OS and TV OS! What’s going on. And I paid for it. All cams show “Accessory Not Reachable (HMErrorDomain error 4)” error message in Red!

Does just what it says on the tin and more

Great app, had the added benefit of enabling pip on my Apple TV for my eufy cameras in HomeKit which I had spent ages failing to make work.

Better than HomeKit for Cameras

Pixeburst on

Honestly an amazing app. I would like to see some watch complications, but I can’t be picky otherwise so it’s still a solid 5 stars from me. It loads faster than HomeKit even though it loads multiple streams, brings them all live at once, lets them mute/unmute accordingly. It also shows way more detail including the temperature and humidity of the rooms the cameras are in (where applicable) meaning I don’t have to back out of the camera and up to the top like I do in the official Home app to see if the temperature is ok in my sons room. In terms of improvement, I would love to see the temperatures on the main multi feed when opening the app without having to go into an individual feed, maybe in the lower left corner (or configurable would be even better). Watch complications as mentioned before for quick access and also modern widgets (I’m aware they won’t be as useful as the old one in terms of being able to show live streams) that simply allow quick access to individual cameras would also be fantastic to multiple camera users like myself!
