It is a mobile phone adaption of the classic text-based adventure genre, similar to the point-and-click classics. The game combines a bleak environment, an sense of underlying dread, and several moments of comedy to keep you entertained. As the third game in the "Horror in the Darkness" series, Horror in the Pacific takes place several years after the events of Horror at Innsport. Called once again to investigate a case of a missing person, our protagonist is drawn to a small resort island in the Pacific, to uncover all new macabre horrors. ## Horror in the Pacific Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource123/v4/3b/50/d8/3b50d843-878c-c646-1b35-8555eb826645/2f0765b8-65b3-47ac-94a6-3aa4e218ff25_Simulator_Screen_Shot_-_iPhone_11_Pro_Max_-_2020-06-17_at_16.18.11.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource113/v4/80/4a/79/804a7941-a28d-22ae-ff5a-14f2b1ec7bdd/c2b9acd2-422e-4c26-a7ba-51cb858f1233_Simulator_Screen_Shot_-_iPhone_11_Pro_Max_-_2020-06-17_at_16.18.17.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource113/v4/4b/63/23/4b63232d-e2a2-aca3-0696-520d5e01296c/4f489553-c60a-4fd3-bb12-f2f85179afd5_Simulator_Screen_Shot_-_iPhone_11_Pro_Max_-_2020-06-17_at_16.18.34.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource123/v4/18/fa/e8/18fae88e-be9b-0638-c312-297b10d6707d/f60bb678-52da-4875-bb7f-cd5457ccd7a1_Simulator_Screen_Shot_-_iPhone_11_Pro_Max_-_2020-06-17_at_16.18.41.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource123/v4/44/33/bf/4433bf78-97c7-d6ea-b567-b70b11dd8825/f190d1c8-06fb-4d5c-a3ac-3d9ff6243bb3_Simulator_Screen_Shot_-_iPhone_11_Pro_Max_-_2020-06-17_at_16.19.04.png/1242x2688.png) ## Horror in the Pacific Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 30 (71%) - 4 stars: 10 (24%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 2 (5%) ## Horror in the Pacific Reviews in United States ### ***** "Great game!" This one has to be the best one in the series, it’s the biggest one at least. I found it interesting that the choices of occupation will affect the ending. Great work! -- Song popster, 2025-08-10 ### *---- "Rather Watch paint dry" Way to create the most boring and pointless game. There is no substance. I am glad it doesn't cost money you should pay the player to have to play this its so bad -- BearMarine1775, 2024-03-21 ### ***** "Another success" The story that began in Horror in the Darkness continues in the Pacific, where our hero visits a mysterious island to help solve some disappearances. I love these games and I only wish the developer would make more. -- Jason F.C. Clarke, 2022-01-27 ### ***** "Play them all it’s worth it" So glad I found these. If you’re in Lovecraft, cosmic horror these are a must -- Space Matt J, 2021-06-18 ### ***** "Another excellent entry in the series!" Fun twist on this ever evolving storyline. Enjoyed the new setting and the new characters. Not as creepy as the others, but still suspenseful and the plot definitely keeps you on your toes. Definitely recommend. -- Nic_Stephen, 2020-03-03 ### ****- "Great games" This game series is fantastic. My one reason for lowering the star count is that this particular installment has so many typos and errors that I was distracted. But other than that it is a great series. -- emilpee, 2019-07-13 ### ****- "Bugs" It’s a great game but at the same part (where you need to get the fuse) I would try to save it and the option bar freezes every time. I would close out the app and it would do the same thing. Please fix -- zaybubbles99, 2019-01-01 ### ***** "Great series of games" This game and the others in the series are challenging, fun, and exist in a universe that truly does feel Lovecraftian. If you liked this game, definitely check out the others by the same developers. I sincerely hope they continue making more games like these! -- universalworst, 2018-12-15 ### ****- "Can’t put it down" Great game-was really hard to put down and upgrading was an easy choice. Ran into a couple of bugs that froze the game while playing, happy to reproduce those if Devs want. Great atmosphere during the game, music and story writing was superb and didn’t go overboard on too many details but let it build itself and use the reader imagination. A bit dark souls-ish. One gripe - some of the items disappeared after use and some didn’t without explanation why so ended up wasting lots of time trying to use old items again and again when I was stuck. Also, some of the clues and progression points were very non-intuitive and based on “common knowledge” that are not very common knowledge outside of certain generations/geographies. For example, using the sugar correctly would be outside the intuitive knowledge of many younger or foreign players. Overall, though, fantastic game. Can’t wait for the next one. -- Turdrainman9, 2018-09-10 ### ***** "Incredible" Quite possibly the best of the games to date. Stays true to the lovecraftian theme while also remaining fresh -- NB13373846, 2018-08-19 [View all Horror in the Pacific reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Horror in the Pacific In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Premium Upgrade | $1.99 | ## Apps Similar to Horror in the Pacific -
