Horse Anatomy FAQ
Is Horse Anatomy free?
Horse Anatomy is not free (it costs 9.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Horse Anatomy legit?
🤔 The Horse Anatomy app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I hope you read this review and listen, this app is junk. It hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It’s glitchy, difficult to use (if it will work at all) the graphics and details as well as anatomy accuracy is all garbage. Do not purchase this app, I’m actively looking for a way to get a refund.
Not user friendly
Bought this and the dog version. Despise them both. It is not user friendly and not intuitive to use. Not even my tech savvy kid can get the thing to work well. Huge vote no.
Okay
I was not happy with the graphics, the muscles are blurry and it is not as complete as I was hoping. I am an RVT specializing in equine therapy and rehabilitation and I need to know all muscles and there functions and insertion. I was hoping this would be a great tool to have as a quick reference. But I guess for the price it isn't terrible. Guess I will stick to my anatomy books
Amazing
Great app. The 3D models are detailed and it is easy to use. I especially like the audio pronunciation and text info on each structure. Great update with the various models.
Crashing now
As a Equine student, I was looking for an app to help me study. I love this one! It's perfect. But after this last update, all it does is crash and I can't use it.
Poor detail
Poorly put together. Images are vague. I regret paying for this app. The quality is what I would expect from a free app. Very general application only.
$1 at best
Not worth the $10 it's very basic. I bought this app for my Horseshoeing class. It helps a little with bones and basic info of the horse. Very little info on the hoof. the product does not Mach the cost. But it may in the future I would like to see more info on the tendons, joints and hoof anatomy
Ehhhh. Not that impressed.
It's not as detailed or informative as I'd like. As one of the commenters said below it's very superficial and basic. It doesn't show some bones of the skull, the nasal cavity etc. in great detail and the explanations are kind of mediocre. I'd also like be able to get a full 360 rotation in all directions. For instance with the skull, you can only see so much and because of the mandible etc. you can't see the ventral side of the skull. Overall, likes said I guess it just covers the basics. If you have 10 bucks to spare, go for it. Otherwise save your money.
Okay
All I can do is stare at it and try and memorize the bones or the muscles. You should try adding a quizzing section!
Very useful for reviewing anatomy
I recently started learning equine accupressure and Masterson Method equine body work. This app provided a nice review of the bone landmarks and the muscles. Thank you! I plan to purchase the dog version.
