Doesn’t alert traveller if there booking is cancelled or not

Menninger hotel at Amstel Amsterdam is just a perfect place for all kind of travellers and tourists. Great connectivity with bus station and train station just 50 meters. It Forbes great connectivity. The staff is extremely helpful. Kitchen odd well equipped.

No way yo reach them , email ids don’t work!! Terrible experience. Avoid as they don’t give refund . Bunch of crooks

This is my second booking on this app and it never shows my booking until I check out. I can’t even know who is staying in the hostel. Can’t chat with people to make travel plans. The worst app to book your stay.

I booked through you and the hotel people said there is no booking and they don’t accept anything through Hostelworld.

I booked a hostel through hostel world. I reached the hostel and they denied me the room saying that the previous occupant has extended the stay. Now they are asking me to cancel the booking and they are not cancelling the booking. They have stopped taking my calls too. Have raised the issue with hostel world. No response from them. There is no way to contact them directly as well. This just speaks of very poor authentication process by hostel world before adding any hostel to their list. And there is no customer support response.

I didn’t get any discount even on my first booking.

Some Real World Problem I recently booked a hotel and paid some advance payment. I called hotel and to my surprise the front desk said they are fully occupied and I was not in the list of confirmed booking. They said there is some problem in the portal and they have stopped taking online bookings. But I want to ask What about my advance payment ? I wrote to hostelworld on Instagram and their website and it’s been 7 hours I have not been replied to…. I then booked another hotel. And then cancelled booking made from hostelworld and voila hostelworld said that I won’t be getting any refund because I cancelled the booking. Hostel world is seriously delusional when operating in countries like India

even thru visa card i couldn’t do the transaction
