WHAT IS HOURLY JOURNAL

Hourly Journal is a simplistic app that you can use to track anything from your daily sleep time to how much you work towards your passion. Being mindful about your day can help you improve your overall lifestyle and get it on right track.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Pick an hour you want to log, enter a short passage on how your hour went, pick one of the pre-defined tags and some emoji to track your mood and voila that's it.

You can review your daily, weekly, monthly and custom date range as a simple graph denoting how your day went based on the tags you used while logging and also a simple way to keep track of your emotions each day based on the reactions you used while logging.

### *---- "This apps lacks basic features since almost always"
I downloaded this app almost a year ago and I made complaints and they told that they were already working on those features. I downloaded it again and the same issues still persists.

1. Journals have to be made on hourly times: I sleep at 10:30 but I cannot mark that I slept at 10:30 PM, my only options are 10:00 or 11:00 nothing in between. I leave my office at 6:30 PM but I cannot mark it as such — Totally not a recommended thing to do if you want to track or journal your activities.

2. The app still feels slow. Even switching to another app for a minute or less will cause it to go into loading (given that the loading lasts for a second but this is still the slowest app in my phone)

3. For some stupid reason it does not work offline, and there is nothing this app do which requires a constant internet connection. Even many server based apps can function offline upto some extent but this app refuses to function without an internet access. It feels sketchy…

4. If I am marking 11 PM to 5 PM as “sleep” the interface should group this together to make it compact to show other daily activities more conveniently.

5. The primary UI takes up a lot of space. One big part of it just says “good morning” and shows current time, which is simply unnecessary because my phone already shows me the current time right above where this app shows. And the next big part of its UI gives a useless message. Given that these things will go into hiding if you scroll down to see your journals, but the point is that it is simply unnecessary.
