## HourProof Description
Prove your rental hours. Keep the deduction.

HourProof is the material participation log for short-term rental (STR) and long-term rental investors. Log what you did, attach the evidence, and hand your CPA an audit-ready report: the contemporaneous record the IRS expects if it ever asks.

BUILT FOR THE STR LOOPHOLE AND REPS
• Progress toward the 100-hour and 500-hour STR tests per property, and the 750-hour Real Estate Professional Status goal.
• Pace check tells you how many minutes a day you need to reach your goal by December 31.
• Material participation checklist shows which IRS tests you meet right now.

LOG IN SECONDS, NOT SPREADSHEETS
• Describe the work in plain English or say it out loud. AI fills in category, duration, property, and the IRS reference.
• Built-in timer for work as it happens.
• One-tap quick adds for guest messaging, turnovers, contractor calls, and inspections.

YOUR BOOKINGS BECOME HOURS (Premium)
• Import Airbnb, VRBO, and Hospitable booking calendars. Check-ins, check-outs, and turnovers become suggested activities you approve in one tap.
• Sync Google Calendar and the iOS Calendar for showings, vendor visits, and meetings.

EVIDENCE THAT HOLDS UP (Premium)
• Attach photos, receipts, documents, and emails to any entry.
• Snap a receipt and the activity is logged with OCR.
• Evidence Health flags entries that need backup before tax season.

LOG AS A HOUSEHOLD OR TEAM (Premium)
• Invite your spouse, co-owner, cleaner, or handyman. Their hours count toward the property's total, with each person's log kept separate for the IRS.

HAND IT TO YOUR CPA
• CPA-ready PDF and CSV with audit narrative and Schedule E pre-fill (Premium).
• CSV export by property, category, or date range (free).
• Works with ChatGPT and Claude: ask how many hours you have on the cabin this year, or log an activity from chat.

FREE TO START
Hour tracking, goal progress, the timer, property groups, cloud sync, and CSV export are free. Premium adds AI and voice logging, booking and calendar sync, receipt scanning, evidence attachments, team logging, and CPA-ready PDF reports.

HourProof Premium: $19.99/month or $139.99/year after a 14-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the end of the trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → Subscriptions.

Built by real estate investors who go through this every year.

HourProof is a record-keeping tool and does not provide tax or legal advice. Consult your CPA.

## HourProof Reviews in United States

### ***** "Excellent, just what I needed."
I have been working on my several rental properties, keeping things itemized has always been a problem for me. This thing automatically keeps track of everything, all expenses, meetings, keeps record of everything which helps me crate itemized receipts for tax purposes. This is awesome!!
