Takes a long time to connect to printer and doesn’t print anything

ink is very expensive though :(

When i first set up the printer i could send documents straight to print without going through the app, now i cant because my phone has done an update and the printer is just backing up the jobs so i have to send everything to the app and then print it Ridiculous !

This app only supports documents scanning up to 300 DPI although the machine supports 1200 DPI.

Just changed cartridges for new HP ones and the printer is not printing black and there is no feedback to help resolve problem.

The latest update (April 2025) seems to have cured the problem with naming scanned PDFs when saving (failing to acknowledge space characters in filename, so that files have to be manually renamed after saving if you want spaces between words in the filename). It comes at a heavy price, though, as the facility to save a scanned document as a searchable PDF has been quietly removed (or maybe misplaced and nobody at HP noticed). So no more OCRd PDFs. HP’s contempt for the punter is breathtaking.

This printer consumes way too much ink. The print quality is smudgy and sometimes illegible. I would not buy this product again.

I’ve been using HP services for many years and will continue to. Never had any issues and their app has everything I need

The printing options are not very clear weather it is a4, a5. When I put the paper on the printer does not recognise it has paper in the tray when it does. When I go to choose the size via the app it doesn’t match up with the printer.

I would leave minus 5 stars if i could! Don’t be deceived by the good reviews you see this brand and its inks will dry out on you within a month guaranteed! Even if you don’t use it they will dry out and you will have to get ripped off with new cartridges for every print! A model that is still on sale these days wont even print a basic thing like a boarding pass, even with fresh brand new and sealed original hp inks it cannot print a simple barcode clearly! Never mind the useless scan and copy feature i just want to print a single page clearly and that is too much for this piece of junk! I always thought HP were a reliable brand, maybe their laser jets for commercial use can print black as black but this rubbish prints my black colours as blue!!! Outrageous robbery and scam! Even after running all the various tedious maintenance functions i give up with this brand! Next time Will go for epson instead! Let’s see if they can manage to print black as black and not blue! Unbelievable how big tech giants can get away with this outrageous and totally failed technology! They don't know what they’re doing clearly. Update: a year later i have tried unofficial inks which it does not accept, tried official inks which show as more than half but still wont print clearly! I have to literally buy new inks every time i want to print something! I buy colour then the black starts missing, i buy black then the colour starts missing! The cycle continues on and on! Clearly scamming people with 2 pages worth of ink in each cartridge even though the display shows it as still full! Even with brand new inks you have to run about 50 maintenance cycles just to get one page, and guess what by that time you will need new inks again because the maintenance cycles wastes the tiny bit of ink they do give you in each cartridge!
