Poor Performance with App and Commercials
While the performance of TV shows and the selection is commendable, this app has serious issues with server connections in displaying commercials. When commercials load, the app will get stuck or black out and then one is forced to either back out of the show or shut down the app in order to continue watching a show after restarting it. This seems to happen only with commercials loading or at the end of commercials.
Totally worthless
Can’t fast forward, episodes don’t retain their place. Forces you to restart episode and you can’t skip.
Inconvenient to use
For the last 6 months or so, this app continues to periodically log me out of my account, despite logging in and confirming it’s just me using the account on either my laptop or iPhone. It also often forces me out of my laptop as well when this happens, which means relogging in both devices. Which also means needing to consult password records because who can keep up with all their passwords anymore. No other app that I use has this problem, just Hulu for some unknown reason.
Episodes and movies unavailable for play
I am not able to play episodes or movies from the iPad or iPhone on this app.
Poor experience and worst support
The Hulu+Disney app or whatever it’s called these days is trash. Money down the drain. My password ALWAYS needs to be reset each time I use the app and I can never login on iPhone or Apple TV apps. It just won’t ever log me in. After countless hours of working with Hulu support, resetting everything imaginable, and deleting and reinstalling the app over and over again. Still can’t went a movie on my TV. What a joke.
Have your remote handy!
The commercials while watching live TV are unbearably loud. Let’s say a volume range of 1-10. You can watch your show at a normal level (level 5) and when a commercials comes on it’s now a level 10. When the show comes back on the volume is at a level 3, and you have to turn it up. And go through the whole cycle again. So freaking annoying!!! Do better Hulu
Crappy on Apple TV
App seems to work fine on my iPhone but Hulu Live doesn’t play on any of my Apple TV’s at all. Would not recommend.
Constantly Frustrating
Seriously, stop showing suggested series at the bottom of the Now Playing screen. I really want to know the thought process for a design where 80% of the screen is something that if you accidentally click it takes you away from your episode. If you are AirPlaying an episode and you try to change the app you are forced to swipe in this 80% zone and almost always start some new series you have no interest in. If someone at Hulu used their app for 1 minute they’d realize how dumb this is. In addition, there’s been bugs galore when streaming from your phone this recent update. The minimized now playing bar is just a white block, sound constantly shuts off when returning from a commercial, we can’t make it through one episode without the app crashing at least once.
