Then they made it subscription or 75 dollars. RENT TO OWN OR GET LOST. Doesn’t work on iPad. Still bums me out. There should be an upgrade price for those who bought it when it wasn’t 7/5 dollars.

I’m done with supporting apps the change their model to the bleed your wallet with a subscription fee, especially when they barely support the app any longer. I loved this app and would have happily paid a sum to outright own it. No more subscription apps!

I enjoy this app and the awesome effects youre able to apply to your photos and videos. I really like that you actually get a good selection of options for photo effects for the cost of the paid upgrade too!

Would be a decent app if it was realistically priced for the general public. For what you are asking for this you might as well bundle this service as an add-on to other actual film NLE suites. To make sure they can collect money from a mobile app nearly in perpetuity, which for mobile apps seems to be barely the life of your phone plan before you grow bored of it, this charges a one-time fee of $75. This IS a mobile app of cam filters and I just don’t see any value in a monthly fee for something that will lose its luster in a year or so, let alone charging a fee that is extremely inflated and usually seen for far more robust apps in the Mac App Store. I guess the niche is the target audience of content providers more-so than the average person. I edit videos on MBP with professional software and plugins. I can say the pricing for what I use is far more within reason and I don’t need to subscribe to my effects when I need them. Also, I can apply the same effects with the software. I have also had this app on my phone for 10 minutes and it has already crashed on my 12 Pro Max, with 10’s of gig’s of space available, 4 times. For the subscription or the exorbitant 1x fee I would expect this not to happen as the team working on this are compensated. There are many other apps out there that I have tried over the years and they all just fall by the wayside rather quickly and the money they want for a subscription just isn’t worth it in the end when I realize I am not lazy and can load video on my MBP and edit it. Your pricing is ridiculous. Consider your core target audience and their age and access to blow $75 or 4.99 a month or the annual fee claiming savings of 50% off the monthly that would equal paying the full price of the app off in 3 years- except that isn’t an option let alone that the core audience would still be there seeing how fast technology moves and they’ve moved on with it. For this price this should be at least a full editing suite. Subscription models have really gotten out of hand and out of touch with the world today.

I’ve been using this for a few years now. I love it. What features are included in the $35.99 yearly subscription as opposed to normal premium?

This app used to be awesome, even the free version had many great effect filters that turned the most mundane videos into epic videos. But I’m pretty sure the developers gave up on it, forgot about it, lost their password to be able to access it, or maybe even are no longer with us. One of those. Because not only has there been no update — not even a minor bug fix update or anything — in FIVE MONTHS, but now the app does not export videos! It “exports” videos as just blank black screen… It’s really sad because this was the best app for fun and cool effect filters I could find, and now it doesn’t work, and based on the 5 months of no updates I’m guessing it likely won’t ever work again.

The filters are nice, but the app crashes in house a lot. It will go to save an image and it will download a blank white picture into the photo library. I’ve learned to work around it by screenshooting it, but since the peripherals of the photo are black and not outlined when I screenshot the image I’m left, many times, guessing and roughly eyeballing the correct crop for the photo. This changes the upload to external third party websites that have a set frame, such as Instagram. It’s not a bit issue…but it’s a noticeable one. The other thing I wish a lot of edit apps have is a “back” button. Sometimes I am shuffling via wildcard and skip past an interesting edit. I don’t pin this on Hyperspektiv alone, but it gets to join that collection of apps that just didn’t develop an undo button. Wasn’t there an undo button on Windows 95 software? Semi unrelated, just a thought. Sometimes I’m on a good edit path with one particular photo and I am collecting a few that I may like and then the app freezes up, expectedly at this point, and I have to restart the app. Sometimes I forget which photo I was on. Not really the developers fault I suppose. My phone is an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it has tons of space, so I don’t think it’s the phones fault either. Plus, basically everything is in the cloud these days anyway. I don’t think it’s a hardware issue. There hasn’t been much in the way of adding filters etc., but sometimes it’s nice to leave things as they are. I would request a white outline around the frame of the picture as an OPTION, since I would crop it out, and I would definitely request a white “X” when going back to the main screen from the photo library since I have to guess where it is. Maybe my phone is in dark mode? I don’t think it works like that. Everything else shows up. Also, creation of filters is totally reliant upon wildcard. I can’t just manage it with a separate button/section? Some apps have gotten with the program on that one. For $40 a year as a daily toy I play around with it’s not too shabby, but I am NOT a professional photo editor or photographer, I’m messing around killing some time having fun with designs and not taking things so seriously. The developers got the base down pretty good for a clumsy fool like me to play around with it. They are probably kicking back enjoying the passive income for now. I would be.
