iAmino has been lovingly designed to help you learn and look up the most important facts about the protoinogetic amino acids.
iAmino helps you study protein building blocks and master the facts - all in one place.
Runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac (silicone). With a beautiful night mode.
We've built the app from the ground up and added a learning mode to help you memorize the facts.
A direct link to Wikipedia is included in each fact sheet in case you need more details.
If you wish, you can change the display language of iAmino to one of the supported languages (currently English, German, French, Chinese, Spanish).
iAmino helps you to master the different amino acids.

IAmino FAQ
Is IAmino free?
IAmino is not free (it costs 4.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is IAmino legit?
🤔 The IAmino app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
^^^ The layout here is more spacious than chem touch's but this doesn't include nucleic acids and detail on all elements of the periodic table. Had I realized the chem touch already provided the amino acid info, I never would have purchased this $3 app. Safe to say it is no longer on my touch.
Amazing App
can you add amino acid quizlet functionality in a way? it would be perfect if one can test him/her self after reading about all the amino acids
Where's the fun?
App says it's a fun way to learn amino acids suggesting a game type format or flash card program. No such thing here.
Good app
Good study tool. Could use a few more ways to categorize and more features but overall good tool
No flashcard feature
Nice application. I think they need a flash card feature for, at the very least, structure recognition. Nice reference tool, but not great for learning. Hopefully this can easily be fixed with an update.

Great App! Useful for an Organic Chemist to have all these little buggers in your pocket.
awesome app!!
Woow! this app is perfect for any student trying to learn the amino acids!! loves it!!!
go science!!!!!
wow!!!!! great app!!!!!
Well done.
I'm enjoying the updated info in the new version and the included wiki link for each of the aminos. Nice update, 5-star app for sure.

Original review:
A great little refrence tool that does what it says it will do and looks and runs well to boot. For $0.99 you can't go wrong.
In future updates it might be nice if they included a bit of info on the roles of the different aminos and perhaps a brief explaination of the chemical bonds and how they work, but I certainly won't me complaining if they don't as that could easily become a differet app altogether.
Very Nice App
I like this program, and does everything it claims to do. If you need to learn the structures, symbols, and properties of the amino acids, this is a useful app.
Since my original review, they have added additional information including codons, and a simple codon search which allows for the translation of a nucleic acid sequence into its corresponding amino acids. I hope the developer continues to improve it with updates, especially useful would be the ability to view all the AAs at once in their various categories without scrolling.
This is a definite 5-star reference now, and is a great bargain. Anyone taking genetics, biochem, molecular bio, or in need of quick access to amino acid data and structures should try this app out.
