## IAnnotate 4 Description
iAnnotate by Folia is the best way to read, annotate, and share PDFs, Microsoft Office files, images and web pages! Over 1 million people turn to iAnnotate to take notes, sign agreements, highlight documents, insert stamps and more.

New in v4: iPhone support, iPad Pro and multitasking support, automatic Apple Pencil detection, shape annotations, improved web markup, enhanced support for OneDrive (and OneDrive for Business), iCloud Drive, and iCloud backup.

iAnnotate’s award-winning interface and customizable set of features make it the go-to app for taking notes on lecture slides, annotating important business documents, revising screenplays, grading papers, and much more. Read on to learn about the great capabilities of iAnnotate:

IPHONE: Now you can use iAnnotate on your phone, with all of the great features you’ve come to expect on your iPad.

IPAD PRO: iAnnotate works great with the iPad Pro. Automatically annotate when you use the Apple Pencil and easily pan, zoom, scroll with your fingers — no tool switching required. Get more work done with iOS multitasking and smart keyboard shortcuts.

ANNOTATE: Choose from the pen, highlighter, typewriter, stamp, straight-line, note, underline, strikeout, photo, voice recording, arrow, rectangle, circle, and date stamp tools.

CUSTOMIZE: Drag and drop tools to your custom toolbars. Swipe between toolbars, or open the Toolbox to access all your tools.

ACCESS: Connect with Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive (including OneDrive for Business) or open PDFs directly from email and other apps.

SEARCH: Search documents in your local library and throughout your cloud storage.

SHARE: iAnnotate saves your markups directly to the PDF, so they can be viewed and edited in external PDF readers.

FLATTEN: Compress your annotations onto the document to prevent modification. This is useful for preserving signatures or for preventing recipients from deleting or changing your annotations.

WEB MARKUP: Open a web capture tab and find the site you want to mark up. iAnnotate will convert it to a PDF for annotation.

NAVIGATE: Explore your documents by thumbnails, bookmarks, annotations, or search results.

UNLIMITED TABS: Open multiple documents in tabs, and easily navigate between them, on both tablet and phone.

TWO DOCUMENTS: Work on two documents side-by-side, for even greater productivity.

MANAGE: Arrange documents by folders and sort contents by date added, date last opened, or alphabetical order.

CREATE: Create brand new PDFs with blank, lined, or graph-paper pages.

MODIFY: Add, delete, rotate, and rearrange pages in your documents.

SUMMARIZE: Forward a summary of your annotations as an email or a new PDF.

SECURE: Full support for the iOS Data Protection and Keychain functions.

## IAnnotate 4 Reviews in United States

### ****- "ok"
ok
-- Dr. Md. Nayeem, 2024-12-15

### ***-- "Buggy Today"
The app is generally awesome, but the conversion from docx to pdf keeps failing today. I use the app to grade, and delays add up. Please fix this.
-- MasySyma, 2024-11-25

### ***-- "Pencil Pro Not Fully Utilized"
The app is missing Apple Pencil Pro squeeze gestures. Other than that, it is good. IAnnotate would be great if it could take full advantage of the squeeze gesture for the pencil pro.
-- 개부끄, 2024-07-24

### ****- "Missing pencil pro gesture support"
Pencil pro squeeze gesture to bring up eraser seems to be missing.
-- Jerr96, 2024-07-03

### ***-- "Periodically lose all work when PDF file is corrupted"
I’ve used this app for years and love it… when it works. Periodically, though, it glitches and I end up losing hours of editing work. This happens when I open a Word document on my iPad and write on it but then somehow the PDF file it saves is corrupted and I can’t open it with any application on any platform. I sync iAnnotate with DropBox and even going to version history is a dead end. I’m on the market for a new go-to PDF mark-up app because this has happened so frequently.
-- christyadamsphd, 2024-06-27

### ****- "Make it MacBook friendly !"
Other than that, it’s great
-- Socalsalvi, 2024-06-20

### ***** "Loving the app so far! Some small items"
This is a very nice app, I enjoyed it to read documentations and add notes with my iPad. The integration with online storage is nice too. I will update the review with more detail after I used it for a bit longer.

There are a couple small suggestions already

1. I organize things on dropbox, and the folder is a few levels down from the root. At the moment it is not clear how to add the folder into a more easily accessible place (now I need to click through it every time which takes ~1 minute)
2. Storing on local = in some internal place not accessible from the files app. If it can be a folder there things can be more versatile.
-- FHead K, 2024-06-05

### ***** "Easy to use"
The app is so easy to use. I love the convenience of carrying an iPad as opposed to papers.
-- Kirkalese, 2024-04-20

### *---- "No Real Flexibility"
I am beginning to wonder which reviews are real and which are not. This is now the second pdf app that I’ve tried to use and the flexibility of it to pull files from iCloud and work on them, or notes, and “thought” I saved them is not real. I am happy that I did airdrop the 12 pdf’s I marked up and returned to students with feedback otherwise I would have lost them completely. They are not saved, or stored on the app as it seems to imply, and there is no way to save them on iCloud as I thought I would be able to so that I can access later. I was very much disappointed with how this app does not do or have all the functions it says it does or do. The eraser for it is also hard to use as easily as you would expect, marking and utilizing the tools are also not as easy as they say.
Their customer service…I have yet to hear back from them with regards to my above requests to find out where those files have been stored because there is nothing with in the app or on my iPad, or on my iCloud. So those files have been lost, except for the sent ones to my students.
Do not buy, I think many of these reviews are fake like many other pdf apps. I am very much disappointed with this.
-- freddyg013, 2024-04-06

### ***** "Indispensable tool"
I use this extensively for my trial work and for signing documents daily
-- Maltafaz, 2024-04-03
