Do you love to read? With iBouquiniste you'll take your favorite books wherever you go! iPad and iPhone book readers are a great innovation for busy book lovers, but they're still evolving. Some readers are so cluttered with settings and controls that you can barely read the text, while others are bare bones "What you see is what you get" style apps. iBouquiniste is a completely different reading experience.

iBouquiniste Features Include:
* Supports notes
* Send books by email
* Unique Author Library (each author on their own bookshelf)
* View most recently opened books in the order you opened them
* Real page numbers
* Adjustable fonts, spacing, margins, book paper and more
* Download books via iTunes or any app supporting file transfer (i.e. Mail or Safari)
* OPDS catalogs support
* iBouquiniste Cloud Storage for synchronisation (books, reading positions, citations and bookmarks)

The interface is clean and easy to use. The only controls on the screen are the ones you absolutely need, but you have the control that you want to display your books exactly the way you want them. iBouquiniste supports FB2 formatted books, which is how most books are formatted. Other reader apps still don't do that. If you want an even more personal reading experience, that's not a problem. You control paragraph indentation, font face and size, margins and even the type of paper for the pages in your book. Where some apps offer sepia tones, iBouquiniste can display your book on realistic paper, with actual page numbers for each page!

Tired of digging through your library to find a specific book? This app gives you several ways to find any book in your collection with just a few taps. Like other, similar apps, iBouquiniste includes a complete table of contents that lists every book you own. This is a great feature if you're not sure what you want to read; but if you have a lot of books, you might spend more time looking for something to read than actually reading! That's why this app also features a unique Author's Library and a Favorites Library.

If you're in the mood to read a certain book from a particular novelist, you'll quickly find what you're looking for in the Author's Library. Each writer has their own shelf with all of their works that are in your collection.

Have you ever put down a book with the idea that you would come back and finish it after you've read something else? Who hasn't done that? The problem is that when you're ready to go back and finish it, you sometimes can't remember the title of the book, or even the name of the author. Now that you have iBouquiniste, all you need to do is to sort your books with "Recent". This feature narrows your search by displaying the books in the order you opened them. Now you can get back to that unfinished book within just a few seconds of starting your search. Once you've finished it, why not share that novel with a friend? It's as easy as sending an email right from the app!

Don't let your book reader decide how your books should look. Spend less time searching and more time reading. Download iBouquiniste now and have all of your books at your fingertips.

Throw £5 in the trash. Just do that.... at least you won’t have wasted it on this garbage.

Excellent

metallion277 on

One of the best. What I don't like is that it's not possible to edit books cover in bookshelf and also sometimes a lag is present when turning pages... Update: now stop annoying me with rating invitations, already f did can’t u see?

Definitely the best

Redmuppetpc on

Does everything required and am able to read all formats that I have on it. It is quite realistic in it's feel and as such have caught myself trying to turn pages as though it is a real book. Really enjoy using it. D Blatch

Excellent reader! Highly recommend

Wonderful

This is the best 3rd party ebook reader in the store by far. The page turn animation is beautiful and smooth and makes you think you are handling a real book. There are plenty of options to choose from to customise the fonts and look to please anyone. This ebook reader is well worth the money and gets an easy five stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nearly gets a cigar

Apple's abandonment of skeuomorphic principles is OK by me for most of the operating environment of the iPad, but was a complete disaster when it came to iBook as far as I am concerned. One of my reasons for purchasing a tablet format device was to have my library in e-format and choosing an iPad over a Kindle was because with iBooks it felt very much like reading a real physical book. At present I have not upgraded to IOS 8 because the "modern look" iBook reader is mandatory on this platform. Most other IOS eBook readers never had a "real book" look and feel in the first place so it was a pleasure to stumble across Andrey Snetkov's iBouquiniste. It isn't quite a complete replacement for iBooks. The wooden library shelves are there, a bit less refined than Apple's and I would prefer that all an author's books were in their own set of shelves once selected rather than sliding along the wooden shelf which sort of destroys the bookshelves illusion a bit. The page-turn illusion is excellent and gives a different feel depending on how fast and where you pull with the finger tip. Some of the YouTube videos and the app home page show the opened book complete with page edges as in the original iBooks format. However, this display format is only available when the iPad is in landscape mode. Here the real-book metaphor is well implanted and works well. Unfortunately it is not used when the iPad is in portrait mode, when it is just a text screen albeit with page-turn effects etc. Not really much different to using the Kindle app. This is a pity since I almost always use my iPad in portrait mode and I assume is a design decision by the developer. There are a number of options for changing the text background including shading effects to suggest convex curvature, but without the page edges showing, the real book illusion is incomplete. Having said all that, it is far better than the modern iBooks effect which is just text on plain minimalist background. There are many ways (probably as many as Marvin has) to adjust the appearance of the text to your liking. These include margin size, line spacing, word spacing, paragraph spacing, text colour and of course font size and type. One nice touch is that you can change screen brightness from the default that you have set, by swiping vertically up and down the screen. There are also what I would term novelty features although they might prove useful in certain circumstances. One is that you can easily turn

Best and free

Love this app, using it everyday. Love how books are stored on the shelves. Easy to search for books. Uses all common formats. Easy to store books from the web. No complains. Could do with editable shelves, but happy that "rename book" function has appeared

Far too slow

Robp£& on

Running on iPad iOS 6 or higher I think. With 10 books it takes 5 minutes to load and starts at the beginning of the book. I can't add a bookmark. If I change the font or paragraph it takes 5 minutes to refresh. It quicker to run down to the library to borrow the book. I'm not impressed.

Замена для iBooks

Borsk25 on

Хорошая замена старому ibooks, если вас не устраивает новый, убогий. Лучше ничего не нашел.
