Description

iCab Mobile is a web browser for the iOS. It provides many unique and useful features you won't find in other iPhone browsers.

APPLE WATCH:
The Watch App is a remote control for iCab Mobile, so you can navigate, zoom, scroll, open bookmarks, links, the homepage, switch tabs or sitch on/off the fullscreen mode. Since watchOS 6.2 you can also open web pages and browse the Web directly on the Apple Watch. But there are still limitations: there are no navigation buttons (back/forward) available.

FILE UPLOADS:
iCab Mobile can upload any files on web pages.

SEARCHING:
iCab Mobile comes with several default search engines you can choose from. You can easily add new search engines.

FILLING OUT FORMS:
iCab Mobile can save web forms and restore the form content later (manually or automatically). The saved forms data can be password protected. Supports many third-party Password Manager Apps as well.

FILTERS:
There’s a built-in fully customizable filter feature. It allows to block resources, ads, banners, user tracking scripts, cookies etc. Supports AdBlock Plus/EasyList filters as well.

TABS:
iCab Mobile supports Tabs, so you can open multiple web pages at the same time. Links can be opened in Tabs (in the foreground or background) manually or automatically.

BOOKMARKS:
Bookmarks can be organized in folders. You can import/export the bookmarks from/to your PC/Mac browser.

FULLSCREEN MODE:
iCab Mobile provides a fullscreen mode where the whole screen is used to display the web page. No screen space is wasted for toolbars.

DOWNLOADS:
iCab Mobile has a built-in Download Manager so you can download almost all files from the internet. The downloads can be easily transfered to a Mac/PC/Linux computer but also to other Apps on the device which can open these files

MULTIUSER SUPPORT
You can create multiple user accounts, each user has its own private bookmarks, filters, settings, etc.

DROPBOX
iCab Mobile supports Dropbox. Export/Import bookmarks; transfer downloads, images, files, web pages to your Dropbox account.

TWIN BROWSER:
In this mode, you can have two browsers side by side on the iPad. This is especially useful on the large iPad Pro.

VOICEOVER
The App is also accessible for visually impaired and blind users. If VoiceOver is enabled, the App plays soft ticks while a page is loading, so blind users are able to identify when the page load has finished.

- When launching iCab can either open an empty page, the homepage or restore the Tabs which were open the last time
- There are different color schemes and designs
- Document Sharing lets you pass downloads and files to other Apps in the device

The App includes a store providing several InApp purchases. These are meant as a tip jar. The InApp purchases are available for different prices, so you can pick the amount for the tip yourself. Doing so will unlock a few cool features as a reward, these are always the same, regardless of the amount of the tip. Users who have purchased the App within the last 12 months do get all these features for free, no need to buy one of the InApp purchases. Though they can nevertheless give me a tip, if they want to... ;-)

I cannot understand why everybody still uses Safari! On the desktop I'm a Firefox fan, but on the iPhone nothing compares to iCab

Highly Recommended!!

The complete browser from the get-go. Private, fast, ad-blocking, mega-app. Versatile in many ways - its the number one browser for me. Best kept secret should be the first app installed and the default browser on your i-device. 10/10.

Hope to see updates more often and also would like to set permissions to use microphone for certain websites without asking

Best browser on iOS, period!

I’ve been using iCab since first launched. It’s hands down the best and the most feature rich. It lost some useful features due to Apple increased regulations but the developer is taking it seriously and it’s obvious it’s his personal go to browser not just an app. So he keeps improving and fixing bugs, adding new features. The dev. is not only active, but a great person, not greedy at all like others who keep using tricky twisted ways to milk their loyal customers by removing the app and re-releasing a new version at a new cost, or keep increasing the price, or worst, turn into the ugly subscription module like we need more subscriptions in our RENTAL life! That’s why I fully appreciate his great work, efforts and time and I fully support him by donating and leaving this review. The least I can do and I will donate again in the further. Please dev., keep up the good work. 👍 I have one request though, and I don’t think it’s difficult. Please, provide iCloud sync for the downloads folder as an optional feature in settings. So we can backup our downloads to iCloud and sync them as well between iPhone and iPad (multiple devices. I WILL donate again for this feature alone and I’m ready to pay for it if you decide to make as IAP, although you were always generous not to follow this module. I am sure many users will find it handy so we don’t lose our downloads in case we forgot and formatted or sold our devices without moving them outside, or in case something goes wrong with iOS and we need to reinstall it from scratch (happened to me many times and I lost valuable documents, unfortunately! ). Please! Thanks again and keep the updates coming. Hope everybody appreciates the amount of work and time the dev. put into this and the commitment he showed through the years with his exceptional generosity! Please guys, donate, it costs a cup of coffee but it helps a lot great dev. like our friend here. Thanks. Frank

Was good once

Had this a while, for sometime now, it contstantly goes does not load pages as if you are offline, you have to wait for a while then searchs suddenly work. Loading google is the biggest culprit page. Please fix this. Would not recommend buying unless you want to wait around if they leave this broken sadly.

Brilliant

While I haven't tried every browser out there, it's head and shoulders better than anything else I know.

The only alternative browser that actually offers alternatives

The browser scene on iOS is woeful. Firefox is rubbish, most of the rest are half-finished or scams. iCab is different, and absurdly configurable. It offers full built-in custom filter support for ad-blocking, which somehow Firefox neglects, and you can even tweak the interface, which I think is unique among iOS browsers. It does come with a reasonable amount of useless modules installed, but spend 30 minutes setting this up and you’ll finally feel like you have a desktop browser on a mobile device. And it allows you to specify your user-agent, which is possibly the single most useful feature on an iPad where everyone still tries to serve you mobile websites.

Not a viewer on Apple Watch

It’s a remote controller and it doesn’t work. It’s always showing connecting.

HELP!

The latest update has made the app go crazy. Can't open it from anywhere, from the icon it flickers on for a fraction of a second and is gone. Love this app so hope it gets fixed. 😟

iCab steals clipboard data

Try it for yourself guys, whichever app you go to and copy something to clipboard, kill iCab app and relaunch it and duo to new IOS future, you clearly see that it paste your data from clipboard. I tried to disable it in settings/website/paste key... but it does nothing. I have already screen records a video and send it to developers. I will delete this app if they don’t fix it. God know for how long they were stealing it from us.
