I’ve been using iCatcher for years, before Apple could even spell podcast. It’s packed with features and supports downloads making it great for anywhere with marginal internet service. It also protects your privacy. Highly recommended.
Was a longtime user of Overcast until the recent update destroyed it, and it doesn’t seem like it’ll ever be what it once was. Started trialing all the other popular players and they’re either too buggy to use, or require a ridiculous subscription (monthly subscription for a podcast player?! Get real). Finally found iCatcher! and have been very happy with it! A reasonable one time cost, and all the features you could possibly want in a player.
I have low vision, and the loads of options iiCatcher has made it my go to Podcast app.

I have been using iCatcher for around 13 years. This app is frequently updated with new features, bug fixes, and so on. The author is very responsive, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is extremely configurable. Almost anything you could possibly want to do with a podcast, can be done with this app. Playlist, feed specific sorting, streaming, downloading, playback offsets, priorities, download frequencies, iCloud sync, and lots more I’m forgetting about. And if you’re blind, it is completely accessible to VoiceOver. More people need to find out about iCatcher.
I have used this app for years as an alternative to the native iOS podcast app. It works great and the developers are constantly adding new features like allowing me to skip ahead x number of seconds within a podcast when I use the skip-track gesture on my ear buds.
I get lost in the multitude of settings, oh for. The app and for individual podcasts. I would like a PDF help book. Particularly, sorting episodes confuses me.
Downloading long MP3’s (audiobooks, podcasts) to my watch for offline playback works perfectly. Best that I’ve been able to find for this purpose.
I listen to about 10 hours a day. I like the easy use and speed controls
I don't write reviews very often but I thought it was time to write one for this app. I have been using this for several years and I thought I should support the author with a review. I have left tips to the author since I appreciate the ongoing updates after all this time. It is so much better than the native iOS podcast app and infinitely better than trying to manage podcasts in Spotify.
