Having an issue recently with the audio stopping when opening other apps, it didn’t used to and other audio apps don’t have the same issue

a great app. another great update. the easiest to use and the easiest to customise. subscribe. download per stream. playback can be slower or faster. see any podcast extras. a lot of choices that are easy to access. or just leave it on the default mode. this is the podcast app to beat. 8/10

Been my go to podcast app for years and been 5 star.

Recently has stopped playing when on Lock Screen or when opening up another app (not audio related).

Tried switching phone off. Deleted app and reinstalled and going through all podcasts to add - worked great again for a few days now same issue happening again. Please create bug fix and app update.

I downloaded this at least ten years ago when the apple podcast app was having some issues. I’ve never looked back. I listen to several podcasts a day and love all the features of this app. They keep it simple and allow me to create playlists, set sleep timers, search for new podcasts and I’ve never had any issues. 

There are more popular apps out there and I’ve tried most of them to see how they compare. There is no comparison and I don’t think I will ever find one that beats this. 

Thanks for all the work, the updates and keeping the app stable and with no issues for ten years!

What is great about this app's developer is the fact that they are constantly improving the app. Constantly tweaking it to fix bugs or improve the experience. This is worth the cost alone. One of my most used apps.

This is probably your best choice for a podcast app. 

It doesn't rely on a central server but it still has a searchable podcast index. As such you can search for podcasts or add them manually from urls. I think that's important.

There are three things I'd still like to see implemented:

1. I'd like to see a way of playing though all episodes of a podcast chronologically.

2. A feature to trim long silences.

3. The feature that lets you play your own audio files could be separated out into its own tab, rather than mixed in with the podcasts. The help tab can disappear to make room.

Still the best in 2023. Once you've learnt how to use it, its worth it, it works, is reliable & pretty open & customisable & has a useful ability to add bookmarks (with your own written notes) in a podcast or imported media (audio & video), so you can easily find a particular part. You can also speed up or slow down the playback or skip forward or backwards at a chosen intervals also eg. 30 secs etc. And create playlists. I much prefer it to apples.
