Here are the issues. It has a built in stop watch but no countdown timer. So if you want to plunge for 5 minutes, you have to either set a different timer or stare at the stopwatch until you reach your desired time. 2. When you click on your profile, you can see your total plunge time. But once you reach 1000+ minutes, it only displays the time as 1.5k, 1.6k etc. it would be nice to be able to track your time more accurately. Both of these enhancements should be super easy to fix which I’ve suggested to developers but have gone ignored. -- jbushaw, 2025-11-08 ### ****- "Great concept but needs better execution and an update!" The chiller is conceptually great! It’s an actual legit chiller ecosystem for cold plunging and the cold plunge community. It’s not an aquarium chiller or a modified industrial chiller, and seems to be durable. The problem is that it’s “early days” and the support is lacking. The app lets you log and share temp, time, and statistics, but it’s often difficult to be consistent when the chiller takes a long time to get to my 37degrees and can never hold it for more than a few minutes. Trying to plunge at 37 is painful because the scheduling seems to get to the temp 1 hour before, but then it’s 2-3 degrees higher when I’m suppose to go in and that ruins my average. I wish there was a boost function to get your water to temp from a hold status. -- JVRoll, 2025-06-10 ### **--- "Not great" The chiller looks good, is quiet, and has good installation videos online. It also took 8 months to arrive. The issue with the app is scheduling doesn’t work. You pick a time where you want a certain temperature and schedule it in advance. Sounds great, but even at mild temperatures indoors it doesn’t cool all the way down to the target temp. Comes down from 58 to 52, but it’s set to reach 48. Will start aiming colder to hit what I want, but this is the only feature that lead me to purchase this brand versus much cheaper options that run continuously. Fix it. -- Martad00, 2025-05-14 ### *---- "WiFi Chiller feature" The chiller function is buggy as it auto switches cooler to smartsense when I initiate a one time session or try to lower the temperature using the app. This was the most expensive cold water therapy on the market and the app won’t even set the temperature nor does customer support respond to issues. -- Bradmmmmm, 2025-05-01 ### *---- "Avoid" Zero customer service. Nothing works as advertised! -- Beck said so, 2025-02-21 ### ***** "Best barrel" My Ice Barrel 300 has changed my life. I use it everyday, sometimes twice! It holds temperature really well due to its insulation. Even in the South Alabama summer heat! Great addition to my routine. Highly recommend! -- Jake CWO, 2025-01-30 ### **--- "Nice app to have but needs work" I’ve had it record the wrong date, which is weird. Plus it would be great to be able to edit the entries and make notes. Also it should show what time you did it. Any chance it could link to Garmin Connect? -- Ice Cindy Lulu, 2024-12-04 ### **--- "Temperature Dial on App doesn’t work" Every time I use the app, if I want to set a temperature by rotating the dial up or down it never works. It seems as though the screen is frozen but it’s not because you can toggle through all the totter settings. I’m sure it’s a bug but hopefully it’s fixed soon. I’ve deleted and downloaded the app numerous times already -- JC@st, 2024-09-21 ### **--- "No music allowed." You can’t listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts on your device while tracking an ice bath…. Minus the app’s stock elevator music. Otherwise great app. So I’m sure this will change and I’ll be back to update this review. -- TheWillLawrence, 2024-05-01 ### *---- "Application Support Nonexistent" Received invitation to the application, went through the steps to confirm email. Verification code did not work, ‘resend verification did not work’, tried to start process over and the application claimed a profile already exists. Contacted customer support on the webpage, with the response ‘our support team said you are not able to login because you have not verified your email’. This reply came after days of explaining the issue one message at a time. For the cost of the product I would expect better direct support. Sending the password reset or verification code does not seem that complicated. Also took twice as long to ship as the lead time on their web page since I didn’t select expedited shipping…. They’re shipping from less than two hours from my home. -- DunstonChexin, 2024-03-14 [View all Ice Barrel reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Ice Barrel Discovered Keywords - ice barrel ## Apps Similar to Ice Barrel - [HWPO - Training app](https://apptail.io/app/hwpo-training-app-OoH/united-states) - [Mayhem Athlete - Fitness App](https://apptail.io/app/mayhem-athlete-fitness-app-egX/united-states) - [Cold Water Therapy](https://apptail.io/app/cold-water-therapy-VYyc/united-states) - [Chill - Cold Plunge Timer](https://apptail.io/app/chill-cold-plunge-timer-bNzm/united-states) - [CryoZest - Self Experiment](https://apptail.io/app/cryozest-self-experiment-lfOm/united-states) - [Plunge - Official App](https://apptail.io/app/plunge-official-app-ROun/united-states) - [Brisk: Cold Plunge Tracker](https://apptail.io/app/brisk-cold-plunge-tracker-ifLo/united-states) - [Cold Plunge & Sauna: Polar Log](https://apptail.io/app/cold-plunge-sauna-polar-log-YtTo/united-states) - [Shiver: Cold Plunge Log](https://apptail.io/app/shiver-cold-plunge-log-WXlp/united-states) - [Sun Home Saunas](https://apptail.io/app/sun-home-saunas-DMGp/united-states) ## Ice Barrel Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/ice-barrel-BTuo/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/ice-barrel-BTuo/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
