For USA passports, the chip is located in the back cover. I took off my phone case and held my phone at around 30 degrees to the inside of the back cover. I held the top of my phone which is an iPhone 11 on the middle right of the cover. The loading screen will have different text when it starts to scan, no vibration, and hold it there until you get a checkmark. After an hour of trying multiple ways, finally got my US passport scanned (you need to scan where your photo is on the first actual page, not the cover of your passport) using iPhone 15pro. Now, I'm stuck at not being able to add my boarding pass. Every which way I try, the app does not recognize my boarding pass QR code and tells me there is no such boarding pass. Ummm...I hope there is because I just checked in to my Korean Air flight for tomorrow. 😐 Thus, I'm not able to proceed and use this app since I can't upload my boarding pass after spending a good 2+ hrs of trying and reading reviews to see if there are any tips, redownloading my boarding pass, using different devices, trying with Apple wallet version, etc. you get the gist. Time-wise, they say the app can save you 1.5 hrs of waiting in line at Incheon...welp, that's only half the time that I already spent trying to get set up on this app so that I can save time once at the airport. Sorry guys, loved the idea, hence the 2 stars, but the app was an epic fail for me efficiency and ease of use wise (plus it made my blood boil at one point...just frustrating). Hope you get all the kinks out because I would love the app if it worked seamlessly, and I hope others have better luck than me.
