Sitting here cataloguing all my DVD and blue-ray movies and I was up to about 400 or so when I get a message the server is offline for maintenance but I will be able to still access my movie list off-line but not save.
I’m thinking oh well I’ll use this time to go through what movies I have, but NOPE!!! can’t do a damn thing.
Both iCollectMovies and iCollectEverything are all blank as it looks like all my stuff is on their darn servers. What a waste of a weeks work.

This is absolutely useless considering that I keep DVDs as a backup for when the Internet goes down

I collect Ravensburger puzzles and someone in my group mentioned this app so I thought I’d check it out.  I’ve scanned in 50 so far and only had to add a few myself.  I like that I can edit the previous description for my own collection as I don’t want all the froth that others enter.  I figured it will be invaluable so I don’t buy double ups, which has happened in the past 😂 and while I have a database on my computer this app is better because it’s on my phone so with me all the time.

So tried to create an account but after creating the account it said my password was wrong and I’ve spent the better part on an hour trying to create a new password. Following the instructions of only letters and numbers it keeps failing telling me to resend the reset password link. This app is a waste of my time and I’m glad I did not make the mistake of paying for it.

I paid to log items on my phone. I then wanted to use the app on my desktop and it wanted me to pay over $50?!!!!

The barcode scan function sounds like a dream right?

 Unfortunately the interface is awkward and clunky. Entering comics one at a time is painfully slow. The bulk scan function rarely works, because either there are too many matching barcodes or there is no prior record so you have to upload it yourself. The data base is entirely user generated and is fraught with mistakes and repeated items. 

Uploading manually if you don’t use the barcode scan is a nightmare. 
Even if you are entering sequential issues, each time you manually enter a comic you have to look up the title and the issue number, enter it, then search again for the title, then this issue number to enter the next issue.  Why not a single search for title then a check box system for entering issues? 

Sold as convenient and fast it could not be further from it. The free to use function is capped at 30 comic issue’s entered then it costs $49+ dollars to continue the experience that is disappointing even when free. 

Give iCollect a miss.

We used it for Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, scan the barcodes and 90% of items were listed which save the time to take the photo and type the information, if it’s not listed simply add your own information, moving onto our Lego collection next and many other collections next.
