Finally called A.O. Smith. Registered the water heater with customer service, and the two of us figured out how to connect the water heater to the WiFi. Working now, but for an $860 water heater it should have worked from the get-go. Update: The app now doesn’t recognize the water heater! Reading other reviews, it seems to be a common problem A.O. Smith does nothing about to fix. Tout a feature that’s not supported. They don’t care though. As long as they’re the only water heater brand sold at the orange big box store, who cares if it actually works, just as long as it heats water. -- Mmad83, 2025-08-06 ### *---- "TERRIBLE APP" This app hardly ever works. It’s not reliable and I would reconsider purchasing any appliance that uses this application for WiFi connectivity. This seems to be a known issue but the company isn’t doing anything g about it. AVOID THIS APP AT ALL COSTS -- Tfk phantom, 2025-07-14 ### *---- "Useless" It says “ your water heater is operational, but we are missing an online resource” and to “contact support“ Tech support does not reply to email requests, I am not sure they exist. -- the college student, 2025-07-14 ### *---- "No go" Can’t even log in. Cant register. Worthless app. I hope the water heater works better. -- 3rdpig, 2025-07-10 ### *---- "Poor service and reliability" This app is kind of crude and spade on features. The service is extremely unreliable. Ao-Smith water heaters use this app and the services supporting it. Not well supported. If smart feature are why you’re buying the water heater, this app and service kills that idea. -- Disappointed-aosmith customer, 2025-06-18 ### *---- "Nice toy" This is my second review. Nothing much as ever improved over the years of owning this heater/app combination. The app does not reach the “we’re sorry our network is down message,” nearly as much as it used to. But now, the app or server loses my water heater serial number every month or two. This is only smart app I have of which I must reinstall my device. The water heater costs an extra couple of hundred dollars to have smart features and AO Smith fails to deliver, repeatedly. -- BeemerDoubleU, 2025-06-05 ### *---- "Garbage" This is the worst app ever. Wait i mean useless. Do better -- YnotD0it, 2025-05-28 ### *---- "Useless and ridiculously low function" If I give it zero stars I would. This supposedly smart water heater is not adjustable or schedulable in any useful way from the app. I would never buy this water heater again unless they provide an app that allows you to set schedules with temperatures for certain times of day. Do not buy their water heaters until this app is improved. -- M&DDad, 2025-05-10 ### *---- "No developers" This company will not invest in developing the app. Don’t waste your time and money -- Fredbigapple, 2025-05-01 [View all iCOMM Connectivity reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to iCOMM Connectivity - [Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT-E-WiFi](https://apptail.io/app/schluter-ditra-heat-e-wifi-sRZ/united-states) - [dewenwils](https://apptail.io/app/dewenwils-ojXc/united-states) - [Smart Oil Gauge](https://apptail.io/app/smart-oil-gauge-qxZc/united-states) - [Rheem](https://apptail.io/app/rheem-ZiAd/united-states) - [QuietCool Smart Control](https://apptail.io/app/quietcool-smart-control-Ddne/united-states) - [EcoNet](https://apptail.io/app/econet-gQEj/united-states) - [Bosch Connected Control](https://apptail.io/app/bosch-connected-control-kZFj/united-states) - [Rheem EcoNet](https://apptail.io/app/rheem-econet-YPQj/united-states) - [EG4 Monitor](https://apptail.io/app/eg4-monitor-CUkm/united-states) - [Netzero for Powerwall](https://apptail.io/app/netzero-for-powerwall-dOvn/united-states) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
