## ICS2.0Lite Description
For installations that do not require ‘pay for use’ charging, fleet management, or sophisticated event-based load management for numerous charge stations, iCS provide a free to use software platform for configuring and using charge station(s) through a smartphone or tablet.
The ICS2.0Lite software is preconfigured as standard to the intelligent range of iCS charge stations (excluding the ICSW7B) enabling straightforward connection through the WiFi hotspot created by the charge station.
There are two distinct password-protected login areas for Engineer & Driver use.
Engineer:
The Engineer area allows for full configuration of the charge station for online or offline use. Many of the default settings will not require changing, however full flexibility of control is permitted.
Driver:
For Drivers to access this the charge station will need to be connected to the
ICS2.0Lite backend. For greater connectivity options, many of the iCS intelligent charge stations now have added WiFi capability, resulting in a straightforward process by using the owner’s broadband connection. Subsequently, there is also the option to connect by Ethernet cable or with a data-only sim card. Once connected the software allows for full control of the charge station, including starting/stopping charge sessions, the timing of charge sessions to coincide with lower energy tariffs, and viewing of historic charge session information.

App and charger constantly dropping out, just when you want to charge. Support is there and responds promptly but with inane responses which don’t actually answer your question. 

If my problem of constant dropouts isn’t solved soon it’s going on ebay.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having an ICS charger for 2 years now and I am at breaking point. If I’d have known how poor the app is prior I would not have purchased the ICS charger. Always as soon as Apple have an update or ICS have an issue, I can’t charge the car until they sort it and that means days of work, missed appointments, no school run. You really need to get your act together.

This app is a headache. Its stuck on the sign-in page and therefore I cannot charge my car. No customer support. The RFID card says ‘invalid authorisation’

Terrible charger and app to boot! Customer service is non existent and if you do choose to use I’d say expect to be visiting charging stations as home charging (which is the point of this) is intermittent at best. This is not intelligent charging!! I inherited this as we bought a new build but so wish we brought our easee car charger from our previous house (so much easier!) to charge

The app, the charger, customer service if you can ever get anyone to answer the phone, absolutley horrendous for a so called “premium product” had problem after problem and now the app won’t even do anything! If it’s not randomly disconnecting the app just won’t do anything at all including signing you in. 
I very rarely complain but this product and app is absolutely garbage.

Has been fairly reliable for last year but now the app has stopped working and unable to charge the car. I’ve paired RFID cards previously but currently not authorised. Incredibly frustrating there’s no back up option to re-pair RFID card (outside of app) and no clear instructions for using QR code. Definitely needs more thought in design and execution

I’m using this app for the Ics hybrid inverter and battery system unfortunately it doesn’t give you any history of solar generation and usage making it impossible to look back at how the system is performing without actually going to the inverter itself which is not ideal

The app is so awful it’s laughable. It signs you out then doesn’t recognise your email or password. Just impossible to reset and so so frustrating. When it works, which is infrequent it’s ok. Frankly when it doesn’t which is most of the time and you can’t reset it, it’s the most annoying thing ever.

The app is just too unreliable and not very responsive. When it works it’s fine to start and stop charging (I.e. the most basic functions!) but otherwise it really should be a *lot* better. Also, the time is not set to GMT/BST local time!!

Poor user experience. Poor integration with the charger. QR code reader doesn’t work.
Poor integration with the IR card. It regularly forgets my login details so I have to spend several minutes re registering before getting in my car. If you use the card you can’t use the app and visa Versa.

As an ex software engineer I can recognise an app that has not had sufficient resources put into it. It looks like the cheapest possible solution-a version 1.0 that has never been upgraded.
The result is that the user is inconvenienced at every turn.  
The only usable way of using the charger is via the app so this poor app makes a good charger very difficult to use.
My advice to ICS is to employ a proper software DESIGN engineer.

This charger brand and app is terrible. The scheduling doesn’t work properly. You cannot set the time for the device and it thinks it’s an hour or so behind. So the timer functions don’t work. It’s a bit too tech an app and in all honesty for a premium device the app interface is atrocious. I wish I hadn’t installed from this firm and gone with another brand. Awful.

Like other reviews I had trouble getting my unit online but after a quick phone call to ICS I was emailed user friendly instructions and I did it! App now working and unit online.

The app installed quickly and has all the features I need. Especially like the schedules to take advantage of my off-peak electricity price.
Great to keep check on how much energy being used by my EV (and what it’s costing me to run).
Also used the feature to sync a card to start charging which works great.
So far no issues
