Just tried to use the app and it’s requesting I allow Bluetooth access, which it had earlier today and there is no way to request access in the app. So without the app requesting access to my Bluetooth the Bluetooth is not recognizing that an app needs access. App is not functional.

I can only change colors with the remote. Nothing else works. The written instructions in the box refer to screens the app doesn’t show you. They were prepared by someone whose knowledge of English is rudimentary, at best. The lights are pretty, (2 stars for that), but the product does not do what they claim.
Unlike other apps, it only has a few pre-made modes, but you can change the colors in each mode, which makes it very adaptable and allows the lights to be used in many seasons-not just Christmas. Many people find it hard to use but once you get the hang of it it is truly a great app. My only complaint is that the music function won’t sync to my playlists no matter what platform I use to play my songs. Otherwise the DIY options make the lights festive and custom, and the lights really set the mood. Besides the music, I have no further complaints. Overall, this is a great app for people who want DIY-friendly lights that never fail to impress all who sees them.
Newest update refuses to let me connect to my lights so now they are forever flashing red.
Love these lights but after putting them on in year two, after a week they changed to a dull flickering color, the remote doesn’t work w new battery, the app won’t connect. No updates showing. Disappointing.
