No explanation of how to use this.
I have the app. Photo of DL won’t take. No reason why. The app is DL but there’s ZERO explanation of “what now”? Or how to use this.

ID.me Authenticator generates secure 2-step verification tokens on your device, including time-based one-time passwords, (TOTP), push notifications, or mobile security keys, to verify your identity.
When logging in, after entering in your password, you will be asked for an additional way to prove it is really you. Either approve the notification sent to the ID.me Authenticator by tapping ‘Yes’ to approve if it’s you (push notification), or enter the verification code generated by the app (TOTP).

What a confusing hassle!
Very confusing process and unreliable if you’re a US citizen residing in another country and trying to access your government info.
Does not authenticate
I’ve used 2FA for many years now, used the Yubi hardware as well as Okta, Google, and other 2-fac systems. ID.me is required by US government, snd is entirely ineffective. It fails, but clearly doesn’t know it’s failing. It’s just failing and reverting the workflow back to as if we never started the authentication process. Utter garbage. Can we use a quality system instead?

I am not enjoying 2-factor
This is why i stay away from 2-factor identification. It is taking forever for the the app to communicate with the desktop. Causing a huge lag on my end. Wont sign me in at all now. Also, what happens if i change my phone number or email
