## IGenogram Description
iGenogram is an iPad app for creating clean, professional genograms—fast, and without drawing skills.
Built for counseling, family systems work, and psychology study, it helps you turn interviews into clear diagrams and organized case notes.

- Create professional genograms in minutes
Genograms help map extended family systems, relationships, and key events across generations. With iGenogram you can build and update genograms quickly, keeping everything readable as your work evolves.

- A rich set of genogram symbols
Use predefined symbols and connectors for:
	•	Individuals
	•	Couples
	•	Child–parent ties
	•	Emotional relationships
	•	Households (people sharing the same home)
For a full overview of the available symbols, please see the screenshots.
Need something beyond the predefined set? Add free-text labels to any person or relationship to represent unique situations.

- Case notes with optional dates (timeline view)
Capture case notes as you work—optionally dated—and attach them to:
	•	the whole family
	•	a specific person
	•	a family or emotional relationship
Births and deaths are automatically recorded as events. Notes are not printed inside the genogram, but you can browse a chronological timeline to review events and follow patterns over time.

- Fast editing with auto-routed connections
Most editing is done with quick gestures (drag & drop), and there’s also a simpler tap-based workflow if you prefer.
When you move individuals around, iGenogram automatically re-routes all connections—family ties, emotional links, child–parent ties, and household areas—so the diagram stays neat after updates.

- Export beautiful PDFs and share your work
Generate professional documentation you can archive, print, or share:
	•	Genogram PDFs (single or multi-page)
	•	Reports (genogram + chronological list of events)
You can also copy/paste the produced genogram into other iPad word-processing apps. If needed, send the editable genogram document to continue work on another iPad or to archive a working version.

- Privacy-first: your content stays on your iPad
	•	On-device by default: iGenogram doesn’t automatically send your genograms or notes off the device.
	•	You decide when to share: exports (PDF or editable document) and sending happen only when you choose to do so—under your responsibility.
	•	Anonymous support: you can request help or send feedback from inside the app without providing your name or email address.

- Help and guidance
An on-screen Assistant provides contextual hints while you work. You can also open Help & Support from the menu, with example videos for each function.

- Feedback and support
We value user feedback and use it to guide priorities. If you need help or want to suggest improvements, you can reach us directly from inside the app (anonymously).

### ***** "Pretty helpful"
This app saved me a ton of time. It’s pretty easy to figure out the controls, and if you need some guidance, there are enough instructions on screen to guide you. I don’t know if all of the symbols and characters for genograms are included, but for my project it was sufficient. I do not know where I can adjust fonts and sizes. If there is not an option that would be something to add.

If it wasn’t for our classmate Diaysha Cole we could have not known about this amazing app. As a counseling student I have used this app A TON! It has been very easy to use and super helpful in creating Genogram’s for our patients that we see on a daily basis. Again, this would not be possible without the hard earned work of our classmate D. I bought this app to help me with a school project. I have found it completely useless. I am not able to get beyond the most basic relationships.  Editing an existing relationship or individual (e.g. to deceased) is clumsy and in some cases just impossible.  I have had repeatedly referred to the help page and am still frustrated.  This app is not intuitive at all.  I have never spent $14.99 on an app and will never do so again. I should have saved the money and just drew it by hand -which is what I will wind up doing anyhow.

### ***-- "Great App - Some limitations and Quirks"
Very useful app, if you are only going to be doing genograms on your iPad. There is no ability (that I can find) to import genograms into the app. Therefore, if you use a desktop app (I use Genopro) there is no way to exchange information between the platforms. This is limiting.
The other, less significant, issue is that there is a lot of tapping one has to do to add people, relationships, etc. Not a huge deal, but I find myself frustrated by the number of steps it takes to get individuals into the diagram and related to others. Some defaults would be a nice feature to cut down on this.
That said, if you're only using the iPad for genograms, this is a useful app with great features and a relatively intuitive interface.
