Grant visitors access to your home or property from any time and place. Through the igloohome app, you can send a PIN code or Bluetooth key to anyone via email/SMS/Whatsapp/other communication platforms, for the duration that you select. Through the igloohome mobile app, you can also check the access logs to see who and when someone has entered your property. For Airbnb hosts: Make check-in and check-out smoother for you and your guests. When you synchronise your Airbnb account to the app (via Airbnb Connect), a PIN code is created for each guest when their booking is confirmed. This PIN code is sent to the guest for his/her to use on the igloohome smart lock/keybox when they arrive at your property, and is only valid for the period booked. No more fuss over key exchanges and missing/lost keys ever again. I switched from Kwikset smart locks and the new Igloo locks are way better. The app however just needs some simple updates. 1) Give a lock/unlock status without having to look at logs. 2) Give option to edit an access code. I can create and delete but not edit. 3) The bridge connection with Alexa and other home automation systems is worthless. I’ve gotten ten different undefined and network errors when trying to log in. I’m currently unable to access my lock in the app. If I do miraculously log in, as soon as I select my lock I’m logged back out and can’t get back in. I know the credentials are correct - I’m not typing them in myself, I’m using Apples password manager. It’s also easy to give access to my dog walker. -- LilFurnace, 2024-08-14 ### **--- "Has potential but severely lacking" The concept of the app and its interaction with the IglooHome devices is cool. For the features that already exist, they work ok. There are a few issues that cost it the 2-star rating: 1- if you set a code and/or access schedule, you are unable to modify it. For that, you have to delete the whole access and recreate it (make sure you remember what that code was because you’ll need to recreate it). This is especially important if you have remote maintenance groups (pool, gardener etc… ) with whom you have previously shared a code. 2- if you set a code for a user, say for a repeated schedule on Mondays between 2:00pm and 4:00pm (for example Pool maintenance), you are unable to set a second access with a different schedule (for example a one time pass) for a different day — i.e the same pool company is sending a repair crew on an off schedule than the regular maintenance. So now your options are to either temporarily delete the main schedule to create the one time access (and then remember to reinstate the default schedule), or, create a new code and have to communicate that to your pool company (confusing to them). Note that the same code CAN be used if setting it on another pad lock, just not on the same one. Finally; if you have multiples of those locks, whether you’re using the bridge or not, you have no way to bulk set a passcode on multiples (or all) of the locks. So you’d need to go to each of them and configure all the different access configurations. I’ve only had the locks for a couple days now, so I still don’t have an opinion about their quality aside from my first impressions, which are good so far; but their value is diminished because it feels like the app was an after thought, lacking very basic features. The good news is that if their dev team is willing, these modifications are very easy to make which will improve the experience of the app ten-fold. -- Babylon78, 2024-07-24 ### *---- "The app needs work" I have spent hundreds of dollars on locks that malfunction constantly. There are serious quality issues with this brand. I have two of the fingerprint locks that have paired then while doing the recommended firmware update it just errored and ended. The drive shows up on my device list yet I can’t do anything to add access fingerprints. When I try to delete the lock it just gives me an error message so I won’t even delete off the account. Waste of money. Do not buy from this brand -- miceky mouse, 2024-07-05 ### ***** "Legit" I bought this lock because I have an Airbnb home and I was tired of having to change locks from time to time and and always having different keys or different combinations in a different people coming in and out or be very difficult to try to remember it all, but with this lock, it allows you to give out passwords. Take them away at any time connect to it from anywhere. It is a perfect addition to anybody’s home whether or not you’re using it for Airbnb or renting it is a perfect addition to any home because you can give a combination to anyone of your family members. They all can be different combinations if you’d like it could be some of their favorite numbers so that each one can remember their lock well and it is beneficial because let’s say you have a delivery or you have somebody that is coming over on announced and you have a lock and a fence at your front yard where nobody can walk up to your front door without opening the small gate or big gate then they just have to give you a call and say can you let me in and you could let them in without a code or you can give them a code. It’s so unique in the way that the way that it’s built, the craftsmanship the workmanship the detail I do not have one regret and I’ve been using it for about 2 1/2 months now and I just had to leave a review -- Thethemanman, 2024-06-03 ### *---- "App constantly logs you out" This app constantly logs you out and doesn’t save your password. The password reset process is a drawn-out pain. This is the kind of app where when I need it, I NEED IT now, not in 15 minutes. It doesn't even give you the option to save the username and password in iCloud Keychain. It also needs an auto-update feature for the bridge or at least the option to update automatically. Another issue is that the app keeps signing you out if you don't open it for a couple of weeks. The interface needs improvement; everything is buried in different places, making it hard to find what you need. There's also a bug where if you set a weekly unlock code, after the first use, it shows "unknown" as the person opening it instead of displaying the name. Can you make it safe that has the igloo Home app? so you can be able to enter the passcode but if you ever forget the passcode, you can go on the safe and you can enter the passcode and if you ever forget the passcode, the passcode will be stored in the app and the safe would be really tough and really strong and the toughest Safe ever in the history. I want your company to make a safe 100%.
