I travel a lot and use a number of different travel providers: Expedia, Qantas, Virgin, Hilton, ALL etc. IHG is my favourite, as I know I will get great service, a comfy bed, a central location and great food… every time I travel.

The App ‘works’ for most normal functions but it has annoying bugs that create problems I use it at least sixty times a year. Around thirty times a year I get asked if I want to set my language preference to English. Thirty times a year I say yes, but it doesn’t retain that preference. Some links will take you to your folio for past stays - others do not. The most annoying bug is that if you need to modify a booking, (let’s say you need to change your arrival date by SHORTENING your stay by one day), the logic in the App FIRST checks if there are any rooms available, and if the hotel is booked out, it simply offers you one choice - cancel your booking! This means I cannot rectify the booking and the hotel misses out on at least one nights accommodation. Your only remedy is to email the hotel but on two occasions in the past eight weeks my emails were not read until I turned up and they accused me of being a ‘no show’. The net result with one property was that I ended up with the handicapped room with a blocked sink and a blocked shower tray right next to the noisy breakfast area instead of my preference (I had booked around ten days before) of a high level quiet room away from the lift. A simple improvement that I can recommend is that when one puts a location in (for example the main address you need to visit during your stay) the App could display a map showing all available properties within a certain radius if that address, including across country borders. There are occasions in Europe where the closest hotel to an address in Germany is in the Netherlands. Finally, in a country like Australia, where there are relatively few properties, when you ask for options near Newcastle , for example, you get listings from as far away as 800 kilometres.
The app keeps rejecting my valid email address that just got a welcome message from intercontinental I’m staying at.
Really enjoy using the app.. easy to use , great features with plenty of hotel information
The IHG app makes it easy to see all the options available at a resort, nice.
App crashes when trying to type location into hotel search, has been happening to me for months and by the looks of other reviews everyone else too. Long time member but now the app is useless.
It is quite frustrating that the Apple Wallet functionality has been removed. You are one of the only major hotel chains not to malls this feature available. App also continues to crash randomly when looking at or trying to delete messages within that section.
Each time I tap a property to make a booking, the app crashes. I tried rebooting the phone and uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it but the issue still persists. Please help fixing the issue.
Logs out all the time and has issues logging in. Works great when you are logged in though.
