## IHSS EVV Mobile App Description
California’s In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Solution for Non-Live-In IHSS & WPCS Providers.
 
Non-Live-In IHSS & WPCS providers will check-in at the beginning and check-out at the end of each workday for each Non-Live-In IHSS/WPCS recipient they provide services for with simple easy to use screens.  Providers are guided step-by-step to choose the recipient they are working for, if they would like to check-in or check-out, and select if they are in the home or in the community. Additionally, the app will conveniently add the provider’s hours to their IHSS Timesheet at the end of their workday. While the IHSS EVV app captures the start time, end time, and location of the visit using Location Services, it does not track the provider during the visit or at any other time. It simply takes a snapshot of the location when they check-in at the beginning and check-out at the end of each workday.  
 
California’s IHSS EVV Solution is in full compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act Federal EVV requirements by capturing:

o The date, time, and location where the IHSS/WPCS services start,
o The name of the recipient,
o The date, time, and location where the IHSS/WPCS services end, and
o The location the visit ends.
 
California’s IHSS EVV Solution also allows for complete capturing of data when the user does not have internet connectivity. The IHSS EVV app will store the encrypted visit information and will transmit the data once the user has internet connectivity.

I have location services turned on for this app and it will detect my location when clocking in, but I get an error message that I need to have location services turned on when I try to clock out.  I go back to settings and it is turned on. I get emails from IHSS stating I haven’t been using app to clock in/out. So frustrating, location services is turned on, app is faulty.

The update from 11/24/24 is lousiest ever. You have taken an app that was barely useable and suddenly made the text HUGE on my iPhone. It is only because I am experienced with the app before the update that I am able to enter what is required where it belongs. Please fix this thing!
