Avoid queues at stations: buy your transport tickets from your iPhone!
The following tickets are available for purchase:
- t+ ticket booklets or individual t+ tickets
- Navigo daily, weekly, or monthly passes
- Special fares (Navigo Youth Weekend, Anti-pollution pass, etc.)
- Daily Vélib’ passes
Purchased tickets can then be (depending on the chosen purchasing path):
- Stored on the iPhone and validated directly at stations (from iPhone Xr and iOS 17.5)
- Loaded onto your Navigo pass (from an iPhone 7, with at least iOS 13. iPhone XR and XS are compatible starting from iOS 14.5)
For compatible tickets (individual t+ tickets or booklets, Navigo Day passes, special fares), no account is needed, and you can pay directly with Apple Pay!
You can prepare and plan your travels:
- Find nearby bus stops, train stations, and metro stations
- Search for real-time public transport routes, car-sharing, and bicycle routes
- Save upcoming trips in your phone’s calendar
- Check the next departures for your lines in real-time and all the timetable information
- View maps of public transport networks (accessible even offline)
- Follow pedestrian routes for walking segments
Stay informed and anticipate disruptions:
- Check your lines’ Twitter feed for real-time traffic updates
- Get alerts for disruptions on your favorite lines and routes
- Stay updated on the status of elevators in the stations you use
Customize your travel:
- Save your destinations (work, home, gym, etc.), stations, and stops as favorites
- Customize your profile (fast walker, with difficulties, reduced mobility, etc.)
- Select lines or stations to avoid
Prefer soft or alternative modes of transport:
- Book car-sharing and/or ride-sharing trips in partnership with leading providers
- Opt for bicycle routes for all your trips
- Rent a car or a van for a short period by choosing a Communauto car-sharing vehicle from a wide selection of stations around you and book it immediately for the duration of your choice.

Titres transports pour enfants ???
Je ne sais pas vous, mais il y a encore des gens qui ont des enfants qui n’ont pas encore de téléphone portable. Bref pour nous c’est devenu la galère de voyager à Paris et c’est devenu cher.
On ne peut pas acheter des tickets pour nous et nos enfants sur notre téléphone (quelle idiotie sérieusement, c’est discriminatoire !!)
On doit acheter, même de passage, une carte navigo easy par enfants. Vous n’aimez pas les familles nombreuses ou quoi ? Vu la tendance qu’on a à centraliser et complexifier tout en France, ça devient ridicule. Pour aller en train de Toulouse à Lille avec les changements de gares à Paris, on devient débile à devoir acheter un ticket pour chaque passe navigo pour chaque membre de la famille.
Les tickets papiers ça marchait très bien. Vous avez voulu faire moderne mais c’est raté ! Avant on achetait un carnet de 10, on se le partageait, facile et bon marché. Maintenant chacun doit s’en acheter un pour lui seul. Pour une famille de 5 et pour 2 jours sur Paris, ça coûte plus cher et surtout ça fait raler les gens qui attendent pour acheter le leur.
C’est cool pour un célibataire qui se prend un passe au mois. Mais pour les autres votre système nous discrimine.
Ça confirme l’image que j’ai de la France qui n’est pas très « family-friendly » (or « children-friendly »).
Positive Erfahrung mit Routenplanung
Ich war letzte Woche in Paris und habe die App nur für die Metro-Routen benutzt, also keine Tickets damit gekauft (dafür würde ich eher empfehlen einen Navigo Pass zu kaufen, den man in jeder Metrostation vor Ort bekommen kann). Ich persönlich kann sie dafür sehr empfehlen! Durch diese App waren die Metrofahrten sehr entspannt und man hatte keinen Stress, nachzusehen wohin man jetzt als Nächstes muss…
Alles ist übersichtlich und einfach aufgebaut. Man bekommt mehrere Routenvorschläge mit Fahrtlänge und kann die für einen optimale Option auswählen.
Fazit: Mir hat die App meine Reise sehr erleichtert und ich würde sie auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Not possible to buy anything using the app when not on the very last iOS version …
Leider noch nicht optimal
Die App ist noch nicht optimal und ich habe nicht so ganz verstanden, warum ein Kauf und die Nutzung des Tickets direkt auf dem Smartphone nicht möglich ist, sondern nur das Aufladen des Navigo-Pass über das Smartphone. Hier ist wirklich noch viel Luft nach oben. Da die Digitalisierung in Deutschland ebenfalls nicht gerade wettbewerbsfähig ist, möchte ich mit Kritik eher zurückhaltend sein 😀
Topping up the card doesn’t work
As with many French apps available in other languages, some parts are only available in French, making for a wild mix of English/French or German/French. However, the app setup is straight forward.
To make most use of the app, a Navigo card is needed. It’s a one time, 2€ purchase, and cards can be topped up via machines or, supposedly, via phone.
Unfortunately, while reading a pass works fine via NFC, writing a purchased ticket to the pass makes the app quit (which also seems to render the card unusable? I haven’t been able to top it up via a stationary machine since).
Given that the system appears to be working with NFC, I don’t understand why you can’t just use the phone to tap rather than the complicated process with the cards)

It's an app to buy tickets for your Navigo pass, but you can't buy a ticket to get from the airport to the city - seriously what decade is this company living in......
Schlecht programmierte App und kein Support
Ich habe das aktuellste iOS und die App lässt keinen Kauf für das Handy zu. Dann frägt man den Support und bekommt nur eine doofe Antwort, dass man nur französische Anfragen beantwortet. Man bietet aber die App auf Englisch und französisch an. Was soll das? Also App und Support ist für den Müll
App funktioniert nach Aktivierung Pass nicht mehr
Prinzipiell eine gute App, Einrichtung problemlos.
Aktivierung des in Paris gekauften Navigo Pass zum Aufladen ebenfalls problemlos.
Seitdem lässt sich die App nicht mehr öffnen, so dass weder eine Überprüfung des Restguthabens, noch eine neue Aufladung möglich ist.
Schade.
Pas prévu pour iPad
L’appli fait ce pour quoi elle est prévue (en tout cas c‘est ma première impression), mais après l’avoir utilisé sur iPhone, où je trouvais l’affichage bien petit, je l’installe sur iPad, et là, surprise… la fenêtre n’utilise qu’un quart de l’écran, exactement aussi petit que sur téléphone !! Bienvenue au 20ème siècle !
