## image.canon Description
image.canon is a cloud service designed to ease your imaging workflow, whether you are a professional, enthusiast, or casual user. Connecting your Wi-Fi compatible Canon camera to the image.canon service will allow you to seamlessly upload all your images and movies in their original format and quality and access them from the dedicated app or a web browser – and automatically forward them to your computer, mobile devices, and third party services. 

[Features]
-All original images stay for 30 days
You can upload all of the images you have taken to image.canon cloud in original data and save for 30 days. Although the original data will be automatically deleted after 30 days, the display thumbnails will remain.

-Automatic image sorting
If you create the sorting rules in advance on image.canon, uploaded images from your Canon camera can be automatically sorted on image.canon.Sorted images can be transferred to 3rd-party services or a PC.

-Upload to image.canon from Camera Connect
You can upload images imported to your smartphone via the mobile app Camera Connect to the image.canon cloud. Camera Connect is used with integration with the image.canon app.

-Auto forward images and movies to other storage services
Connect image.canon to your Google Photos, Google Drive, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Frame.io or Flickr account and automatically transfer your compatible images and movies. 

-Share and play with images
Access your image.canon images from the app and any compatible web browser. The library of reduced resolution images is ideal for sharing with friends and family over messenger and social media apps or printing with Canon portable printers.

*A thumbnail is a compressed image of up to 2,048 px for display in the app.
*If this service is not used for 1 year, all of the images will be deleted regardless of their expiration date.

Well this little 1.9 star app can upload to some services, it completely ignores others, specifically OneDrive. Why anyone would want to upload to some of the other places that are dramatically limited in space and are exceptionally expensive to expand, I have no less than 3 OneDrive accounts with E3 Office 365 subscriptions that have 5TB-25TB of space. That Canon has limited this poorly designed product to consumer-grade storage systems shows a complete lack of understanding of what’s available in the real world today. There simply can no excuse for this exclusion. That some of their grammar and spelling on image.canon website is so bad speaks volumes to the lack of professionalism this service garner from a company that should know better.

Glad that I can manage my cameras ability to upload images to the cloud! I think there’s a translation error though: the words “filtering” and “sorting” appear to be swapped.

I needed to transfer todays photos to another app, but before that could happen I had to completely redo my Canon access for photo transfer. New registration, new passwords, using camera, phone and iPad to complete instructions. Finally able to view todays photos on devices but I haven’t begun to figure out how to transfer them to an additional app. 
At this point I fail to see the improvement over previous Canon app.

### **--- "The App is not very useful"
The service is decent, but the app is disappointing. Uploading photos directly from the R6m2 is slow, and the Wi-Fi connection is poor. Selecting images and videos is awkward, and you can't use a USB-C ethernet adapter with the camera. Also, uploads stop if the camera goes to sleep. Currently, to upload photos, I must first transfer them to my iPhone/iPad via USB and the Canon CameraConnect app, then use the images.canon App to upload from the iPhone gallery. It would be more efficient if the app allowed direct camera connection via USB for uploads, bypassing the iOS gallery, like Lightroom, which can upload directly to the cloud without saving photos to the device first.

For the service itself, it would be great if Amazon Prime Photos is supported too, but I understand this is not a professional photography service.

I was trying to use this app with my eos R50. After I created my ID, it tells me to scan the QR code and when I scan the qr code from my camera, what I get is invalid code. The instructions from the app is different from the camera. This app is useless and it is waisting my time.
