Imago is a guided shadow work journal: an AI facilitator asks follow-up questions, helps you understand your reaction, and remembers the thread so the next session can continue it. Those inner voices, the one bracing for the worst, the one still carrying stuff from childhood, the harsh critic that won't quiet down? Internal Family Systems (IFS) calls those parts. Imago helps you name them, understand them, and actually talk to them. GUIDED SHADOW WORK SESSIONS An AI facilitator asks follow-up questions as you journal. It remembers what you've shared before and picks up threads you might have dropped. It can offer a name for a part you can confirm or change. It does not decide what your experience means. It just helps you stay with whatever comes up longer than you normally would. NAME AND MAP YOUR PARTS Give your parts names, colors, descriptions. The protector that tightens your chest before meetings. The exile that shows up as a hollow feeling when you're alone. The firefighter that reaches for your phone when things get heavy. Over time you build a map of your inner system that you'll actually recognize. DAILY CHECK-INS AND PROMPTS A mood check-in and a shadow work prompt each day. Helps you notice which parts are active before the day pulls you in. Build a streak if that keeps you going. A JOURNAL THAT REMEMBERS Sessions build on each other. The facilitator might notice your Protector shows up more on Mondays, or that your Inner Child has been quieter since a particular session. Those patterns are hard to catch on your own. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Entries are encrypted. Nothing is sold or shared. No social features. Just you and your parts. IMAGO PREMIUM Unlimited sessions, unlimited parts, full prompt library, and pattern insights. BUILT ON IFS IFS is an evidence-based therapy model listed on SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs. Imago takes its core ideas -- parts work, Self-energy, the protective system -- and puts them into a daily journal. Not a replacement for working with a therapist, but a good way to keep going between sessions or start exploring on your own. Imago is not therapy and is not a replacement for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. I am loving this app. It has helped me gain visibility into myself that I have really been struggling with and I’m making serious progress in some things that have been around for a long time. I want to thank you for creating this really useful tool. I have been recommending it to others. I’m noticing a lot of buttons / prompts dont work for me. Also the mapping just creates a new part every time and I now have 69 parts. I’m unable to expand upon or combine any of these parts. The concept of mapping them seems lost. -- Tinariffic, 2026-06-30 ### ***** "Imago" I gave this 5 stars because the product is fantastic. Very organized and easy to use. It makes tracking and exploring parts very easy with helpful prompts. The AI chat is very informed in regard to IFS therapy. I do hope the creators look at this review as I have been using this app for around 2-3 weeks and have the yearly plan. I currently locked out saying I am ‘unauthorized’ yet the subscription page says I have a membership. I have tried to email support and it comes back as undeliverable. Please fix this or contact me! -- monetsgardyns, 2026-05-18 [View all Imago reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Imago In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Yearly Premium | $49.99 | | Premium Weekly | $6.99 | ## Imago Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/united-states) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/germany) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/australia) - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/austria) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/belgium) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/brazil) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/switzerland) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/china) - [Cyprus](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/cyprus) - [Hungary](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/hungary) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/iceland) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/italy) - [Mali](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/mali) - [Mauritius](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/mauritius) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/netherlands) - [Norway](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/norway) - [Nepal](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/nepal) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/new-zealand) - [Oman](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/oman) - [Panama](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/panama) - [Pakistan](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/pakistan) - [Slovenia](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/slovenia) - [Suriname](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/suriname) - [Thailand](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/thailand) - [Uganda](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/uganda) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/united-arab-emirates) - [Venezuela](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/venezuela) - [Armenia](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/armenia) - [Angola](https://apptail.io/app/imago-shadow-work-journal-CpOy/angola) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
