Dark Mode

I love the app, nice interface and very user friendly. The only thing that is lacking I think is Dark Mode.

Slow and sluggish

As much as the app has nice features, the app is slow and sluggish. If you hear the audio it is broken and delayed. The two way communication is useless. I connect via my DVR app, it is way better.

Super complicated to work

Don’t, Dont, Don’t buy this crap, it’s super complicated to activate, scanned the QR code so many times, can’t get the device to connect to network

Not the best

App keeps giving streaming error and password reach limit errors. Works when you refresh, but not stable. Cameras works better on other Dahua apps.

Excellent product except the notifications…

The alert tone of the imou app is the same as all other alerts on my phone and cannot be changed. Alerts should be able to be customized for this app to ensure that the user knows that it is the imou notification alarm and not other less important messages or notifications… please add this to the next software update.

An absolute disaster… 3 routers later this thing is still unbelievable slow even after the last router was moved closer.

Open up the app more and allow users to save to their own cloud storage.

Last recording video

Have not received recorded videos since 5:00 am …. It is now 15:15. Problem has started since putting on the latest update. Perhaps it could also be the Vodacom signal but besides the cell phone this is the only other application using Wi-fi at the moment.

I have two the moving one and the still . Working hundreds keep it up smooth streaming very impressed team keep it up!!

Very unreliable

CONS: 1) When attempting to watch live video, 80% of the time a “connection time out” error occurs. Resetting the connection two, three or four times resolves the issue in most cases. Video feeds load slow in most cases. 2) Adding a new recorder may result in the app crashing when attempting live streaming. This is a permanent error with no work around. I have found this bug with XVR5108 recorders only (4 so far) 3) There is NO support for this app. (But then again there is also no official Support channel for any Dahua products) 4) There have been numerous updates that caused the app to stop functioning properly. PROS: 1) Easy setup 2) Automatically selects low stream for GSM and high quality stream for WiFi connections. Conclusion: If this app was more reliable it would’ve been great.
