In the Retelling is a quote app with a simple missing-word challenge.

Each quote comes from a notable writer or thinker from history. One word is hidden. Your task is to complete the line, using the first letter as a clue and any extra letters revealed after each attempt.

You can solve it, or reveal the answer to read the full quote.

Choose the themes you want, including calm, courage, gratitude, resilience, happiness, focus, self-acceptance, relationships, morning energy, and simplicity.

You can receive one quote a day, three quotes a day, or as many as you like. Save the lines you want to return to, share favourites with friends, and set an optional daily reminder at a time that suits you.

The app includes over 300 select quotes from more than 70 writers and thinkers. It works fully offline, including in airplane mode.
