Description

Welcome to inkl, the last news app you’ll ever download. We show you the world’s most interesting and important news, from sources you know and trust.
Enjoy brilliant reporting and analysis from publishers you don't see on other news apps, like The Economist, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and hundreds of others around the world.
See stories curated to inform and surprise you, and make it easier and faster for you to follow news that matters to you. We don’t care about selling ads (inkl is ad-free) or going viral (inkl is a paid service where you are the customer, not the product). So instead of clickbait and fake news, we show you news you won’t see elsewhere, like our Good News feed, which starts you off with three positive stories every morning. Or our Analysis feed, which pulls together the latest long reads from publishers like The Financial Times and BusinessWeek. You can also dive deeper into related articles below every story that help you really understand the news, overcome biases, and burst the social media filter bubble.
Try inkl for free with a no-obligation 7-day trial. We don’t charge you automatically, so there’s no need to cancel if you don’t like what you see. Just tap ‘download’ and enjoy the world’s best news coverage, completely free for a week.

Enjoying the news

I boycotted the news since 2020, but am kind of enjoying this app, best I’ve come across so far

Overpriced

Pimdddd on

Ireland

It’s far too expensive.

🌟Exactly what I want - the news has never looked so good

iBookScala on

I’m delighted with this app. I really don’t mind paying for news if the product is so polished. I’m done with visiting about 10 different bookmarked news sites in Safari each day, having to block ads and deal with annoying agreements endlessly. This is a clean, calm experience with top-notch sources. 5 stars from me - I’d recommend for sure. Just posted what the doctor ordered 🙂

A good compendium of news

Articles not accessible due to paywalls - requests to cancel ignored

Australia

The advertised outlets on inkl still have paywalls for articles and are not accessible. Despite repeated attempts, they have ignored my requests to cancel and refund suscription.

Paid for subscription, no subscription, no response

IA 123 on

First of all the news is great. Good enough that I wanted to subscribe. So I paid. And nothing. I sent a message through the app to ask that my subscription be activated. Nothing. Another message through the app. Nothing. Another and another. Nothing, nothing. I sent a message from my personal email address. Nothing again. Another, asking for a refund. Nothing. A terrible service. It took my money and gave me nothing. EDIT: Sent email to developer, and still no response, no refund, nothing, days later. I was also charged for a second month of a subscription I’ve been trying to cancel for weeks. I’ve also sent more messages through the app and from my personal email address. This is absolutely appalling service.

Loads of content worth paying for

The more I use Inkl the more I discover. The sources are wide-ranging and many are major newspapers and journals. There are numerous options for personalising content through sources, categories and topics. You can stick to the extensive tabbed sections (National, World, Leisure etc) or explore the amazing Explore section where you can access a daily bulletin, specific sources, people in the news, and more.

Good on world, needs to improve on Australia

Matt Sandshoes on

Australia

Delighted to have access to global mastheads, from both the right (like The Telegraph) and lefty specialist journals (like Politico). But the only Australian newssites it opens up are from the left-of-left, like Crikey. The Guardian and the ABC I access for free already. No sign of centrist media like The Age, or centre right like The Australian.
