I finished the tutorial & was really excited to see what I could do with this app. It crashed almost immediately and I have not been able to open it since :(
I’ve always been wanting to improve my skills, but I never know where to start, and it always feels like I’m not going anywhere when I try. I found this app and I was finally starting to see hope. Everything about the app was everything I was looking for in my journey. After completing the tutorial although, the app is just not working, literally not working. After the tour, I went to sign up, and after putting in my info, the app just goes out. I would press on it and it would boot up, or start logging me in, but then it just turns off. I really like this app and I really want to start improving my skills, I don’t know what’s broken. :(
Hi! It’s a very fun and relaxing drawing/social media app for artists. I love the concept and the community. It has a promising future, I believe, and it gets me inspired to draw. A couple things I like about it are that it offers user submitted photos that give you a different kind of inspiration than you would get on just google or pinterest images. They’re more authentic and personal a lot of the time. It also has a simple but effective digital art program inside the app itself that focuses on the basics of art without too many specialized tools. I like that you can stamp the canvas with a photo of your choice too, in case you decide to draw in your own art programs and post that on inkwell. I have a couple simple ease of use suggestions: 1. Double tap apple pencil to swap between eraser and current brush. This is a standard shortcut for ipads and if it can be implemented, it would be great. 2. Turn off capacitive touch as tool. For those of us who only draw with the apple pencil, the finger/palm sometimes registers by accident and makes an unintended mark on the canvas since capacitive touch is also set as a tool. I would like to disable this. Maybe the finger touch could be customized to work another tool of choice like to pan the screen with one finger swipe. Or just a toggle to disable/enable finger touch registering for different artist preferences would be fine. I gave a 5 star regardless because I believe in the app and the team behind it and wanted to give a review in support.
Its my favorite drawing app, has layers to get more detailed and lots of brushes and tons of photos to draw, but most of all I love the community of artists, newbies and seasoned ones. Drawing here relaxes me and helps me create fun sketches for my future acrylic paintings.
Really enjoying the app so far. Looking forward to all it has to offer.
If you want to learn to draw, see fun art or even get drawn. Come on in!
I have been painting with acrylics, oils, and most recently, watercolor. This was my first exposure to digital art. So much fun! There’s no such thing as a mistake because you can command them to disappear…no other art medium gives you that freedom. Everyone is an artist!
I’m a novice as an artist. I was looking for an app that would help me learn to draw, and this one was the best that I’ve tried. Cool community of artists as well… would def recommend!
Loved the app and I am having something handy now to practice and improve my skills. I never wrote anything about an app before but i had to for this! Will recommend to all my friends ❤️
