Inspect Browser Reviews

Definitely worth the price

I was sceptical at first, since a lot of the alternative solutions for iPad out there are pretty bad, but I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised! It takes a little getting used to, compared to chrome or safari’s devtools on desktop, but it definitely does the job amazingly and obliterates all competition. Must have!

Absolutely amazing

I've been looking for a way to debug web apps on iOS/iPadOS for at least the past 5 years with no luck. Absolutely love the Network and Storage tabs, did not expect them to work so well! The ability to see request headers, formatted responses, filter by XHR requests and also have access to IndexedDB is s godsend. I dowever have a few observations for now: 1. All XHR requests display 0ms for the duration, seems to be a bug 2. It would be great to have the ability to clear the list of network requests, like in Chrome Dev Tools 3. It would be great to be able to see WebSocket connections, with incoming and outgoing messages.

App doesn’t work, wasted money

It won’t even start. Waste of £8.

Useless for CSS debugging

Updating my review, this app is very good on iPad 5/5. Do not try and use it on the iPhone though, it does not work well given the limited screen space

I've been looking for this type of app for so long!

I'm a web developer, and the bane of developing on an iPad, which is my main driver, is not having access to the javascript console or any of the really useful debugging tools you get on a desktop browser. Well, thanks to this app, my life is now so much easier!! I didn't hold much Hope, but it really is an invaluable tool for anyone developing for the web. I was worried when I saw there were in app purchases, but this is just for themes, rather than functionality. This is a must have app for anyone who develops on their mobile device!

feeling hella outdated :/

The only Web Inspector worth consideration on iPad

While there is every possibility that this app could get sherlocked by Apple, for now Inspect is far and away the best inspector you can get on the iPad. Version 2.0 is a major step forward and adds some features that I didn’t know I needed and work even better on an iPad. If you are in the market for something like this look no further.

Perfect

Wonderful app

The missing piece for web dev on iOS and iPadOS. Actively developed for the dev community by conscientious developers who really listen to feedback. Can’t recommend it enough

A bit fiddly, but does the job!

Not quite as easy to use as fully fledged Chrome Inspector but works great considering! Worth the money if you do any kind of web dev
