About pay

Gillgavin110 on

I am extremely disappointed with the shopper because they don't give heavy loads to shoppers. They claim that 20kg is not heavy, but if four bags are placed in a cart at the same time, it becomes 80kg, which is not easy for one person to handle. In my last order, I had 7 bottles of Kirkland and 4 bags of salt, which wouldn't fit in one cart. So, I used two carts, and it was not easy for one person to handle. The shoppers only paid me $16, and that was after I did an 8km delivery." Most of the time they give 2order in a one time. Does the company think it's easy to handle two orders at the same time?

Hi, if you think about using Instacart shopper i will say no never as they don’t give care at all to their shoppers, they discriminate them and treat them like slaves to work out, you keep getting your worth down by things like oh system will fix unfair ratings by itself but no it never happen i’ve waited 3 months on that and only answer i have also is do more and more batch and it will go by itself but that is also not true cause the amount of fraud on this app is insane i get 1 report that i supposedly did not deliver the groceries every days and instacart does not even do something for that other than blaming you without even searching for the truth while they have every proofs that it has been delivered. The pay overall also is really bad in general as you have ti shop for items inside which makes way less than minimum wages even when you know where the stuff is in the store and there is so much more i could say but ill stay at saying just don’t try the app and get your self worth lowered by that company!!

I’ve submitted everything correctly, I even checked. Meanwhile indeed has job postings needing instacart shoppers.. they must be selective like skip the dishes.

Not consistent or fair for shoppers

Better off getting a job and even for part time work this is not good. Most of the orders don’t pay good enough, the company picks and chooses who gets good orders, they control how much money shoppers make. If a shopper has a really good week then the following week they don’t see or get to accept good orders. The income is never consistent. Pay of batches has drastically decreased over past few months, cx tips are hardly good. Most times the agents are useless, especially in difficult or important situations. For most stores self check out is not allowed which means have to stand in long line ups for cashiers and lastly, customers hardly rate when shoppers do a good job but so quick to give bad ratings for errors and mistakes.
