But I hate the fees I have to pay when buying foreign currency and transferring it to e-wallet on Wise. Western’s good when I need cash but it charges me $5 every transaction. Tried this out to send money for family to buy groceries, it just took a day for my account to be confirmed. Sent money to their g-cash account at 10:48AM and got an email that it’s in their wallet at 12:55PM which is faster compared to Wise which takes 4-5 days plus fees. I didn’t pay for any fees, it was just a simple e-transfer method. Hopefully it’s free every transaction. I found out about this because I checked the currency exchange rate on Wise’s website and found Instarem at the top and it said 0 fees so I had to check it out. Pretty skeptical at first because this company is unknown to me but my experience has been good so far. I regret not finding out about this app sooner, would’ve saved me a lot of time and fees. They also had an option to pick up the money in cash instead of e-wallet. Plus there’s a rewards program. Try it and see if it works for you but if you’re looking for no transaction fee and quick transfers this beats all the other money transfers right now. I know because I’ve tried about every money transfer while I was in the Philippines and it’s one the those things that impacts how you’ll enjoy your travels. Not having to worry about running out of cash or having to pay for fees is one less concern for me now.
